are there some sort of telepathic abilities?
and for the race i want to choose. is there a race with higher intelligence, considers the others as inferior etc. ( like erudites on EQ2 and many other examples )
ill be deviding my time between this and eq2, i look forward to seeing you all on the game
Comments
1) cant get out of ship (unless you mean in a pod) there is no human walking around ever.
2) yes - warping around is normal mode of transport, needed for most things. Also many jumpgates.
3) umm... no? no magic in game.
4) well, the Amarr consider all other inferior due to religious reasons.

No. This is one of the largest criticisms against EVE. The game is first and foremost a galactic space sim, and is excellently designed around that. However, at the moment, there is no way to use your actual character's person. The Devs have commented on this and basically said that if you can get out of you ship and meet other people, then you should be able to shoot them, which is an entirely different game. CCP is a relatively small company and does not have the resources to create a "ground" based portion of the game just yet.
Of note is that a sort of planetary exploration is slated for a later expansion. You still won't be able to get out of your ship, but you will be able to terraform, settle, and get unique resources for trade, not to mention build up military infrastructure on them and launch attacks against enemy (player) settled systems.
The scale in the game is very realistic. Ships are a few hundred meters long, battles can take place at hundreds of kilometers, planets are many AU (astronomical units, ~ 150,000,000km) apart. Ships, however, only fly a few hundred m/s on average, so they have warp drives.
Warp Drives allow you to travel between celestial bodies, beacons, stations, anomalies, and stored coordinates (called bookmarks ingame) in several seconds. You cannot, however, warp to a random position on the map. This does not mean that the space between warp points doesn't exist. It is possible to perform an incomplete warp and fall out early, and other players can find you there.
Travel between star systems is done via stargates. The entire EVE star cluster (5000 systems) is interconnected by a stargate network, and to travel from A to B will require you to pass through sometimes many systems in between. Don't let the size of the game world intimidate you. You can very easily live most of the time in only one or two regions.
All of the races in EVE are of human descent, and telepathy has not emerged for the most part. Most of the game lore is technology based. Besides, since you cannot exit you ship to interact with other people fact-to-face, telepathy isn't very feasible.
I am not familiar with EQ2... If you are referring to intelligence as a character stat, then I'll say that any race can be made to have similar stat distributions. The primary things that race selection gives you are your starting faction and standings, your initial weapons and ship types, and role playing perspectives.
As for a race that "considers the others as inferior" you have the Amarr. They are a theistic society that saw fit to "redeem the heathens" (mostly of the Minmater race) in an inter-stellar Crusade during the reconstruction era after the collapse of the EVE gate. They still keep Minmatar as slaves.
There are LOTS of Prime Fiction on the EVE main website if you are interested in reading up on EVE's history, as well as some very good fan fiction on the forums. Actually, there is a new official Novella coming out now that covers the Minmatar rebellion against the Amarr. The Prologue was just released a few days ago and the remaining chapters will come out over the next month.
Same here. Enjoy your time in EVE!!!
