Great Game
Lots of negative posting about this game but I really am enjoying it, it does take it a little while to get into so give it some time before you start slating it 
there are tons of players on the beta servers and loads of them are having great fun. This game has loads of potential and minor beta bugs are being worked out, but fully recommended to D2 fans. All this game needs for me is window mode and then i'm sorted

I realy liked it as well, its like phantasy star online and anarchy online mixed! Lot of bashing going on. Most are fanbois i imagine. Give the game a try for your self if u liked the games i stated

sorry forgot to add, it loojs realy good graphicaly and does not lag even with shit loads of people on the screen. The game was made well, otherwise it would lag like wow.

Wow, you must have never played PSO or AO... to even mention them in comparison should be some sort of crime.
Don't even begin to tell people RF can stand up to either of those titles at all. Especially AO...
You kids boggle me at every turn. O.o And if you are an adult, then just shame on you... shame!
u cant compare RF to AO, they are completely different in everyway. thats like trying to compare WoW with Knight Online
Both AO and RFO are sci-fi games and if you count shadowlands, both have a fantasy element as well.
Both are classified as MMORPGs
Both have PvE and PvP areas
That's more than enough reason for me to compare the two. Saying you can't compare one MMO to another is like saying you can't compare two peanuts because you just stepped on one and broke the shell...

Tis true thought you have to play it for yourself so I definately recommend signing up for the free beta on fileplanet.
I've listed gripes with the game several times, so I'll keep to myself except for the comment about "there is a few minor bugs that are being worked out". The servers right now are taking a dive every 5 minutes 7 days before the release date stated on most sites, most players 30+ are completely broke as there is next to no drop rate past those lvls from mobs so unless you wanna keep your comp on 24/7 AFK mining too bad, summoners are actually losing XP when trying to lvl their summons, purple ranged weapon are still broke after nearly a month in beta,.... yeah I'll stop now

Anyone who can honestly state something like this and try and bring RF online on the same level as WOW, EQ2, AO, DAOC or any other true MMORPG needs to be slapped. This game is nothing but a Joke, and anyone who actually stands back and takes a more serious look at what RF has to offer would understand that.
its not about what it has to offer you.. is it your job ? is it your life ? no.. it isnt.. its made to entertain you and as far as i known i like this game. its made for ppl who like it.. not ppl who dislike it
Right now there priority is to fix the logging server, witht he influx from Fileplanet only proved that this is still not stable enought. I think that bug fixing and translation cant wait right, what the use if you cant log in. But so far since I started playing last Thursday I manage to get over 60 hours of play get to level 21 with all my PTs max out and with plenty of cash to buy at every level intense equipment when there was some available at the auction house. And I only mined one night so far. I havent gotten any lag in game yet compare to L2 lag fest I usualy get in that one. I havent gotten any problem doing every quest so far. Need to level now Im out of quest to do ><. And Im a Bellato specialist the most unskilled class lol and I could tank 5 or 6 mobs easy that were 3 or 4 stars. I still manage to make money even when I use potions like crazy on 7 stars mobs.
To me this game a mix of Asheron's Call and Dungeon Siege. With a theme based like Phantasy Star and nicer graphics than L2. Have you guys tried the emotes really nice ones
You have to try the game, otherwise just reading the bad mouthing from most of the post here are worthless. The players that actualy love the game wont be hanging here posting about how good the game is they be actualy leveling and playing the game.

I agree with that completely, this is an awesome game for people who love the fact that its your race vs theirs. It has a great pvp element to the game and i actually ENJOY the leveling. Yes, there have been log in server problems, and purple ranged weapons are a little screwy. But if any of you idiots who bash this game would take the time to read up on it, you would see that is has been stated that all these things are going to be fixed by retail. So before you feel all high and mighty and start bashing this game, read up on it.
first off, shut the *beep* off, were not idiots. There is no bashing going on, but honest opinions being said. This is a neutral ground , so you can bash people (like me) on rf forum, but here, you dont.
rf is a joke and any comparion to any mmorpg is a joke. it has no conent, no goal, medicore gameplay, and pvp is nothing but one big mess. The pot spamming removes any need of tactic (or the use of any).
as a side note to general , plz stop saying WoW is a real mmorpg lol. And dont compare it games like EQ, DaoC, AO etc.

WoW should be renamed SigH - coz loads of WoW players are looking for a new game to replace it, but everytime they find a new game they moan coz its not like WoW - if thats the case stick to WoW and be happy it won't change, coz those ppl obviously don't like change
Sorry i took so long to reply to the people bad mouthing me. Here goes first of all i did not compare the game play to wow at all i said it dont lag like wow. Wow lags bad because it has horrible server support. Secondly Anarchy online is like this game in some ways otherwise i would not have said it. Im not a moron i know when two games are similar and they are. It plays like phantasy star online, because the attacking/movement is like phantasy star online. Also you can not tell me what i think is wrong its my god damn opinion not yours. If i think its like a game then it is to me.
Also if you do not like a game why stay hanging around the games message board. I see alot of people bad mouthing this game in game and saying wow is better and shit it is not like wow at all people need to realize that if you want to play wow go play it!!! Its a sci-fi game its not wow!!!

your being unreasonable here. "no goal" well excuse me, but what mmorpg did ever had a goal besides increasing your character,social communicating and/or pvp? you made me curious, what mmorpg does actually has better then medicore gameplay? and pot spamming actually does add strategy, just diffrent strategy. for the pvp that is, you can no longer kill someone on your own, its now more group vs group.
in World of Warcraft, I got into 1 vs 1 fights a lot (except for the battlegrounds). in RFO, I get into loads of group fights. if it makes the game more fun is up to you, but I strongly disagree its a bad thing. it also removes the non-stopping search for healer classes.

different games are developed to accomodate the individual minds, anyone who can't handle that and has to flame everything that's not in THEIR interest is obviously a social retard.
Oh and b4 anyone even dares to throw my last comment back in my face, I never said WoW was crap, I'm just sick and tired of ppl comparing it to every game/genre out on the market - there will always be a better/worse game out there than the one ur playing, its just a matter of opinion tho NOT IQ

Wow how old are you 12? The point of these forums arn't to just bash games, if you dislike it you can give your INTELLIGENT opinion, unlike your childish opinion's. You obviously have bearly played or researched this game at all, this game has plenty of content. Have you checked out any of the korean servers? Where the games been out for a year and constantly updated? the max level is 250. Next time you have something to say Sin316, think it through before you type it or you'll just make urself look even more ignorant.
Well i have to say going into RF i wasnt sure what to expect after reading some bad reviews about it, luckily for me i found that those reviews where way off and infact this game is somthing different (sci-fi/fantasy mix theme) and it is somthing i have started to really enjoy, infact i am actually going to pre-order the game myself because right now it is the best game out/coming out for me (notice i said for me).
So fair enough the game may not be for everyone, but i wish people would be more fair in what they say, so far i have heard some nice reveiws kind of middle of the road ones which i enjoy reading, I have read some fanboi reviews which are rather anoying but the worst of all has to be the haters reviews, where they go on to make drastic statements about how the game will die in under a year. You game haters and doomsayers seriously need to find a new hobby, a new game or maybe you just need a life, what are you guys trying to prove, ok so you dont like RF, it wasnt exactly what you expected, so please instead of just talking crap about it, give it some constructive criticism, this would help everyone instead of just pissing other gamers off and trying to ruin there fun.
Another problem that i see is WOW (sorry to bring WOW into it, i also hate it when that happens), as we all know many people where MMORPG virgins before WOW come out and it seems to be mainly these newer gamers who bash other games due to the fact that it isnt anything like there beloved first ever game WOW. This is a bad attitude to have as it holds them back and restricts there gaming, because they are not willing to give other games a fair chance, but instead they play it for a day and say "This sux its nothings like WOW" and then stop playing it, when infact if they had played the game longer they may have found that they actually enjoyed the game more than WOW, but sadly many people are just to afraid to escape from the norm and wont give new games a fair chance without comparing them to other games (mainly WOW).
At the end of the day i really enjoy RF and i am going to play it for a long time, sure there are alot of immature people who seem to think that everyone will agree with what they say.
Remember everyone is allowed an opinion, but should someone express there opinion in an immature manner, then feel free to blow them up with your best siege cannon.

hmm it plays or looks like PSO? Um, no. RF online plays like all the hacknslash korean mmos...
This game plays nothing like PSO... so please dont insult a game and for that matter a series (since megadrive/master system) that i really grew up on.
p.s. i know alot of pso fans who came to this game, thinking it had some pso likeness.. i suggest waiting for PSU (http://www.phantasystaruniverse.com)

good point ... but how comes, that only those who made bad comments (as in a bad comment about the game) are wrong, and the guys making lovesongs are always right ? Youre comment works both way, not only good > bad.
most of the people "bashing" (like you call it, i dont call it bashing , but criticize it) are not "MMO Virgins", speaking for myself , ive many years experience in several mmo's (some i liked, some i didnt) and also dont like WoW, for whatever reason (i made my point about that several times and am tired of repeating it).

i, speaking for myself, do give constructiv criticism. Now it is not my problem however, if you take them as bashing or insulting or flaming. Besides that , anything that is/was said about rf online, that wasnt "oh i love this game so much" goes under bashing/flaming/insulting for you anyway. Little remember , to critic something will never be "oh love love love". if something needs critic, then because it (or that specific part of it) is bad.

I too love this game, and it interests me more than my previous game; CoV and AO, don't get me wrong, they are good games to play. I like AO coz it has that element of mind strategy (working out wot buffs to use to apply implants andnanos etc) and i like the instance play of CoV, that and the fact u can play a super villain
. But for me RF has that extra something.
I never could afford WoW when it came out due to lack of job/finance, and I was a big warcraft fan b4, but I wanted to take part in MMOs badly, fortunately I found this site, which got me introduced to KOL. I loved KOL especially as it got a lot of my clan invovled - until it got hacked/duped etc to hell.
Then an ex KOLer introduced me to GW, and again i loved it, only problem tho was none of my clan m8s got interested, so eventually i got bored
But this game has got a lot of my clan m8s interested. I think because it has part of the KOL factor in it, but mainly coz it has that Final Fantasy look and feel, of which most of us GGs lived on.
I also think that the reason a lot of WoW players are looking at this is because of the PvP content, all my WoW friends are getting bored of the instance stuff WoW has to offer, simply coz they've done it all b4, and from wot i've heard the PvP isn't really that great in WoW, so here is a game that can fill that gap.
And i think this is wot this game has to offer, a real challenge for clans/guilds to make (or break) a name for themselves thru PvP - especially as it has 3 races fighting each other - no other PvP/MMO has that as far as i can see
And thats my $22 worth
