Any idea when open beta will be

I Just ran acrossed theis game Yesterday... im getting rid of my WoW acct End game is not very fun all based on gear little skill..... But im really excited but i cant seem to find any dates or Beta testing stuff if anyones got any info Let me knoW

I would not quit wow just yet. although wow sux alot and I did. But anyways df will be a while yet. Another year is nothing when you think of how long we have been waiting already.

The game will go live in 2002.

Oh wait, the game is almost ready for beta, and beta will begin Oct. 2005. Oh wait, it's not quite ready for beta.

DF looks promising but IF it goes live, it won't go live for another year (in my opinion).

honestly, im looking at an early fall/late summer beta.  if another racial update comes next week, than ill look at about 2 months from now.  so yea cross your fingers for another racial update next week.

well it has been free sofar. With a crowd like the one they have in IRC you might expect them to start charging  admission soon

well we got a screen shot update today, that counts lol.  ok my guess now is right before summer and/or during summer is when beta will begin.

By the look of things its time to start tweaking skills and testing the seige system. All the other stuff that always gets left to last is done. Mounts, boats, finly textured armour. That kind of stuff is always set aside or left 1/2 done in mmo's. Yet you can see it all complete in Darkfalls ingame screenshots. It looks to me to be further ahead that DOAC, Horizons or WOW were when they launched.

I guess for me the more important question is how long beta usually lasts?  I am new to mmorpg's but after looking on this site for about a week straight to find a game I was actually interested in I found Darkfall.  I agree with many poster's here that I want them to take their time and get it right rather than release a buggy game that everyone leaves shortly after release.  I feel in a pvp style game it is even more important since the repercussions of getting it wrong are more severe to the players.  That being said, being new and not knowing this whole process, how long does beta last and what does it "fix"?

I hope the beta wont last long so we can get deep down in DF 24/7.

With that in mind, I hope they have some extensive internal testing so the closed beta and or open beta wont last that long... need retail!
