Lots of companies label games as slightly different versions of the words MMORPG to differentiate themselves (marketing 101). This is especially important because MMORPG means "pay to play" to many people.
Nonetheless, the game has persistent characters, RPG game mechanics and is - despite its instancing - online.
That is why we've chosen to cover it on this site.
