I'm looking for some folks to game with when this comes out. I like to read through the quests and be thorough cleaning out areas. I don't mind a rogue stopping to search the area when he needs to. I also don't mind following the rogue so I don't become the catcher for some unsprung trap. I'm in the beta and have been for quite some time, but it seems like people are always in a hurry to run through the dungeons. Actually, when I say I don't mind, what I mean to say is, I prefer.
I've played WoW and many other MMO's and quite frankly I'm tired of the rushed pace of these games. That's one of the draws to DDO for me. Once I get used to the quests I may not be so relaxed about it all, but when the game first comes out, I don't plan on being the first level 10 on any server. I plan on being one of the many to actually enjoy the game.
If anyone is starting a guild that shares this type of gameplay, please let me know so that I can hook up with you all. I've already pre-ordered the game and I should be in as soon as anyone else. The first weekend my wife and kids will be out of the house so I'll be playing a lot that weekend.
I'm looking for a list of guilds that I may fit in with. A newly formed group would be preferred. I would like to be on equal footing with everyone as all would be new to the game and new to this guild. A guild forum is required to carry on thoughtful discussions. This is another huge thing. If this game is to be fun, I really feel like a mature discussion within guild will be important. Not just guild stuff, but life stuff as well.
I don't think I'm alone in this search so I'll put a few points here that I believe are easily attainable from a guild:
1) No drama
This needs no explanation
2) It's a game, nothing more
I've been in too many groups where someone simpy made too much of a situation -- it's a game, relax.
3) Be responsible and respectful
This is one of those things that so many things can be said about. I think I'll keep it simple and leave it as-is.
4) Avoid petty arguments
This reflects the second point, but I felt it needed to be said.
5) Share in-game items with one-another
I've not seen money to be too important in DDO so far. If you find something that someone else could actually use, by all means, please let them know and perhaps they can trade you something (or not).
6) Offer advice only upon request
Don't ruin another players experience by constantly telling them how to play. If they ask you for advice and you can constructively give it, by all means, assist. It may even be a good idea to ask if they mind you giving them advice if you have substantial experience with a certain dungeon or character class. However if they don't seem to want the advice, then just don't give it.
I'm not a touchy-feely, share my emotions with everyone, type of person, but I have seen many groups disband because of silly situations. I'd rather play the game and have fun than spend time arguing or coddling. Granted, there are situations when you need everyone to be at their best to get past a quest, but these general points are good for the other 99% of the game.
Keep in mind, this is just my rambling and while I doubt I will find a perfect guild, I believe this is certainly the game to find that guild.
That's my 2¢.
EDIT/UPDATE: I've found a guild that I believe measures up to the basics mentioned. PM me if you're interested. Thank you for your time.

Hey that sounds like fun. Unfortunately I have zero interest in starting a guild as I've done that in the past and for DDO I simply want to enjoy the game. Yes that's right, it's time for me to be "just one of the guild."
Anyway, I've updated my post to include that I've found a guild that seems to fit my needs. If you're interested, please PM me. Although I don't see roleplaying as a feature of this guild (and I don't roleplay either so that works for me).
Thank you for your response --- and stay safe over there damn it!
