Okay, lets think here..... what gets me is that these two producer letters essentially said the same thing: which is nothing at all. Why then, did the letters keep getting delayed and delayed and delayed?

    WHY?

I mean, if the letters were meant to correspond with some sort of other 'news' or 'announcement' or publish 27 then I can understand the wait. Obviously, none of these appear to be the case. And I don’t think it’s because JUILO was too busy or lazy… there’s a specific reason and I want to know why.

And another question, why two producer letters? Isn’t there usually just one? Was Rogue_5 promoted?

    Simply unbelievable!!!!

He states, "We have to earn your loyalty".  Dude, you had our loyalty.  We ex-players stood by for 2 years while we were lied to again and again.  We bought the deceptions, the lies, the disrespect and finally we got the game we all loved destroyed right from under us.

All we had accomplished in that time was swept away without any thought or inkling of how we felt if they did what they did.  And even so they heard our voices in their forums time and time again.  Many many players wrote they didn't like the changes that were coming.  Yet, they didn't care as they went along and tore it up.

Now they're going on some writing campaign they've come up with.  They figured they write many latters acting as if nothing has happened and they think people will not see thru' them.  Unfortunately for them we know better.

My guess is the ol' company stall technique, since that's is all most of us can do at this point.
New buyer/player beware, if they decide to end this version or scrap the game they have every right to tell the public that
"Well customers, things are not working out as we hoped and we have to close SWG...but we are planiing a new and exciting SWG2 SOON!!!, more ICONIC and SWAR WARSY THAN EVAR!!!"

If you bought a car and it was missing, say...... TIRES! would you not get upset? How about if you were paying rent on an apartment and only hearing excuses as why they wont fix water leaks, power brownouts, and so on, would you not complain? Lets bring this down a smaller amount of money. If you paid for a hamburger and there was no meat would you not ask for your money back? Why is this any different?

    Now to the other excuses.

    * the box says "Game experience may change"

This is in regards to the ESRB rating. I wish people would learn this. I am tired of reading people using this as an excuse.

    * It's just a game, get over it

I hate Raph Koster but I agree on one point he made. MMOs are more then just games to the majority. There are addictive. Now I believe there are levels of addiction like with anything addictive thing out there. Addiction I is thinking about the game when your at work. And something like Addiction V is when you leave your 6 month old daughter home to suffocate so you can play an MMO or blowing your brains out when your toon dies in game.

    * They don't owe you anything

You pay for a service then yes they OWE you something. They owe you that service. I have yet to see them come through with what they owe. People pay continiously and yet the promise to give this service is still waiting to be carried out by them.

What garbage, they have been advertising this game like gangbusters on Spike, G4 and a few other focus audience channels.

There is no way they have offset those costs alone much less the loss of all the long standing accounts they had before the "enhancements".

The boards have never been so hostile, not even in the games worst early release days, entire guilds are gone, the majority of subscribers are pre-paid accounts or are playing out their 30 day starter kits.

Hey Lucas Arts, give someone else the rights to make the old republic into a game, Mandalorians, Sith, Jedi, Bounty Hunters and Civilian professions.

All with completely unique progression and content, multi faction conflict on land and in space.....quick someone mail me a check for a hundred grand and call me a producer.

Better yet let me tell you what not to do, take a beloved franchise like Star Wars, build it off and old craftcentric concept, never fix or stabilize it, change it completely every 6 months and then admit you can't code it, aren't happy with the player base and sell several expansions totally out of your own ingame story timelines just to make more cash.

I wish I was surprised, but in an industry with such utter and completely ambiguous standards how can you gauge the caliber of your team?

I bought a new car recently, the oil pump was bad, so the dealer changed the engine completely.

SOE would have brought it in, changed the cams from the excessive wear, then 6 months later brought me back to change out the crankshaft, 6 months later they would try and sell me undercoat and then tell me oil pressure isn't iconic anyway and sales are great.

I hope you realize I posted those to inform the previous poster that those subjects are typical trolling responses that I've witnessed in MMORPG forums. I was not condoning their usage. I'm sure you did understand. Anyway great responses to them. I feel the same way.
