Torres is/was the Producer of swg, not a Senior Director.

"We really just needed to make the game a lot more accessible to a much broader player base. There was lots of reading, much too much, in the game. There was a lot of wandering around learning about different abilities. We really needed to give people the experience of being Han Solo or Luke Skywalker rather than being Uncle Owen, the moisture farmer. We wanted more instant gratification: kill, get treasure, repeat. We needed to give people more of an opportunity to be a part of what they have seen in the movies rather than something they had created themselves." -- Nancy MacIntyre.

um...... isnt that the whole point of an MMORPG?
If that stuff isnt there it is no longer an MMORPG at that point its just a regular online game. And the regular online game universe is ruled by shooters like Counter Strike, Battlefield 2 and soon to be HALO 3 for the xbox 360 users.
If SWG would have come out as a solid product with all the core systems in place and tested (along with Everquest 2) it would have been a huge success. They need to find more casual players because the vast majority of MMORPG players think they are a bunch of chumps.

This sounds like Torres' boss's job, although there are some interesting overlapping.
Pray that if he applies, he doesn't get it, lol...

In fact, forget the SWG!!!!
Hopefully it's Nancy "Reading is bad" McIntyre's job.
I they replace her with someone else, JT's days are probably numbered...
Nancy MacIntyre has (or I guess had) the "Senior Director" title. That's one interview I'll bet she wishes she had back.
Perhaps just the one of many heads that are going to roll due to NGE...
