How will Horizons run on my machine?

Hello

I am getting horizons in a few days, because I am done with AC1 after 4 years of play and I dont really like FFXI too much.  Heard some good reviews of Horizons so I am getting it.  ANYWAY, how do you think my machine will run Horizons.  Here are my specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon 1.3ghz

Ram: 384 mb

Video Card: nvidia GeForce 2 mx 400 64mb card

over 20 gigs of available hd space

Sound Card: Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum card

Internet connection: Cable

Windows XP pro, have all updated drivers for all hardware.

FFXI Ran smooth on the graphics higher (not highest) settings, just a little choppy in highly populated areas. And FFXI has better graphics than Horizons.  So what do you think?  Will I get good performance?  Thanks.

You will definetly get some fps issues. The abselute minimum without many fps issues is a N-force 3 with 512 MB of memory.

Even with 512 MB ram you have to relog after a given amount of time in the game.  The memory leak is still bad, but relogging clears the problem up, this has been an ongoing issue even in beta.

They didn't optimize textures very well, if you ask me.  The more areas you cover, the mre people you see, the more the textures load into your memory.  Eventually you run out, and start paging...and that's just plain wrong.

AO had the same problem back in the day.  It used to be REALLY bad.  I'm confident Horizons will optimize it, the question simply is when.

That being said, that game is exceptionally smooth for a game one month out of release.  This is absolutely one of the better MMOG releases on record (in terms of overall stability).
