MMO's that dont suck?

Has it really been a year since I last posted something here? Jeez it seems that the older you get the faster time flies. Anyway lets see it seems that that nothing has really changed as far as MMOs go. WOW is still king and EVE is underrated. Although I do seem to remember reading an article a month back about EVE, involving some crazy hostile takeover.anyway I digress.

My main point for posting today is to discuss new MMOs. I have not been keeping up on the subject thus I only know of a handful of games coming out. DDO is coming out this month following that Auto Assault. Both dont seem to offer anything new the genre. DDO is a guild wars with a monthly fee and AA is city of heroes with cars. So are there any MMOs coming out that dont suck? I looking for a game focused on PvP with unique customization of character skill and appearance, and no mindless grinding.

The only hardcore pvp games that are coming out are Darkfall online and the chronicle online both are more skill based then class based so it should be good another good game is Chronicle of spellborn not sure about the PVP in this game but character costumization rocks. But for pvp check on darkfall online or the chronicle.

Check back in half a year or so. Vanguard and Age of Conan should be somewhat refreshing!

Hmm, I don't think DDO has any PvP at all? DDO is really not GW with a monthly fee. GWs end game content is PvP (and you get to play a PvE campaign as well if you fancy that). DDO on the other hand is more RPGish like Neverwinter Nights I think, without any PvP. I think those two are totally different games.

Jackcolt: Thanks for the reply. I think that vanguard will probably be too much like EQ for my taste. Conan tho I have not looked into, thanks for the suggestions

Rayana: I played GW for a awhile got a few characters up to 20 deleted them got a few more up there before I jumpped onto WOW. I liked GW enough but it didnt feel like there was any kind of community, to many instances killed it for me. Plus when I was able to get to the desert at lvl 3 and do the ascension missions solo at lvl 10 i figured that it wa a lil too easy. DDO looks cool but I dont think that I'll get into it because of the lacking PVP. Plus I dont think that it has enough of a following to compete in the industry
