    (double post deleted)

    When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.

I saw hardly any other players.. I felt like I was playing a single player game, but the game is at its essence designed to have 1500+ players per server at a time.It feels devoid of life. This is what I meant.

I'd have to agree. I've tried coming back to the game, and can't get into it. The old feeling of community just seems long gone. I'd agree it was one of the best MMOs out there, and could still be, if not for the direction Mythic went with thier last few expansions.

Trials of Atlantis - appealed to the wrong playerbase. Too big a change in gameplay style. Classic servers were too little, way too late.

Catacombs - heavy instancing in a game that depends so much on community? Lots of players may have liked it, but I'd say it hurt the game in the long run.

Darkness Falls - Some nice features, but not enough added content to revitalize the game and keep player's attention. Like Catacombs, sure it was mostly praised, but then many of those same players who praised it get bored a month later and quit the game.

I have been playig daoc for about two months, and so far i think its quite goodimage. But there are some problems, that just maight be me beeing lazy, but i have felt like its quite hard to lvl after 40. But if you have some friends that play, you can always ask them for help, or you can join a guild and gest some help from them. The other problem is the lack of people on almost every server but the classic servers. mostly, there is like 700-800 players on, at least at the server im playing. Thats enough complaining :P. the graphics are very good, and grouping is fun etc...  you shuold definently try this game, its cool!image

Thank you guys very much for the posts. I see some are for it and some think its crap lol.

I Prolly wont play because it seems to be nothing but PvP and i need a game with more things to keep me working and want'n to play. Do you know what top mmorpg that could fill these things.

-Daoc has so much more then just RvR going, personally I think daoc's PvE is just as great as its RvR.

    1. Chars look and movement/skills are more important then the world to me.
Characters in daoc looks great imo, and there is plenty of cool looking armour, weaps etc also. Ofcourse there are ugly looking races, halv ogre, valkyns etc, tho ;p In Daoc you also have ALOT of character creation options.

    2. Need some kinda Quests or crafting or something besides fighting other people.

-Loads of questing to do in daoc if you want, and then you have champion level quests and master level quest. Especially the master level encounters and can be a blast imo, most of the cl's and ml's require a group or battlegroup tho.
There is also crafting, you can be a armourcrafter, weaponcrafter, spellcrafter, alchemist, woodcrafter, tailor, and siegecrafter. I do find crafting boring tho, but there are talks about plans on rewamping crafting. You can also buy your own house, and have your own merchant.
Daoc does has alot of content.

    3. The People in game are what makes the game. So i need one with a good deal of players that arent supers @$$es
-The guild and alliance Im in is full of friendly and nice ppl. Daoc has it share of asses like any other game Im sure, but you should't have to much trouble getting into a nice and friendly guild.

So far you guys have given me more then enough info can you guys just pop a couple more idea's out at me with those 3 things in mind.
-I dont see a reason not to try it out based on the 3 things you mentioned. if you do remember to download the catacombsclient tho, and you can also download customizable UI's (eek, dont know how to spell this ;p or even make your own :)

Btw, found a nice thread with some pictures taken from after the Darkness rising expansion, with ppl showing off their new champion weaps
    ::::29::
Can check it out if you want to get an idea on character looks.
::::01:: Some pictures are taken with ppl using the old graphics tho, but should be easy enough to spot the differense.
