Hi! Currently playing Wow which I enjoyed a lot, but since I can't play 4 hours per day I had to leave all the Very High Level content. I tried to PVP but Wow PVP content is really a big piece of s**t, unbalanced class etc...
Well I would like to try another game which require less time to enjoy and to be more than a moron with bad stuff which will lose every single fight because of this.
Do you think RF can be this game?
Also is RF payable per month like wow or by updates like GuildWars? (I try to find the info on Korean site but altavista translator is not that great translating Korean).
PS: Excuse my english.

I have no on-hands experience but from what I have read this game is exactly what you don't want.
Extremly dense grind.
Combat that may be balanced but is only about numbers and equipment, no skill ( it would be hard to balance otherwise ).
It's pay-per-month.
If you can only play 4 hours a day WoW, GW, and DDO are your games.
Okay cheers.
Just adding that from my experience, Wow isn't a good game if you can't play more than 4 hours a day (unless you keep playing the low end content which is such repetitive).
well see you in an other game so
I have to disagree with your assessment. And I have played the beta extensively, got to level 34 before the wipe. You can easily throw a couple of hours a night at this game, and get stuff done.
Yes, it is a little bit of a grind (which I like). But if you don't want to get in a exp group, you can always go PvP or solo your PT for a couple of hours.
Don't expect to be owning all the high levels, but there will always be people lower than you to have fun with.
And by the way, gear and level are not everything in this game (since you don't have any experience). The game is based on your PT, which takes a lot of patience and hard work to train effectively.
Oh, sorry. That's only what I read on this forum.
What is difference be between a skilled and un-skilled player in RF online when it comes to single combat?
A lot more than people realize. Aside from training your PT to be better than the next guy (which takes patience more than anything), there is a lot of other factors. The following story is a perfect example, and I'm not trying to brag, just saying that skill plays a factor.
I was in Sette Desert and came upon a Bellato Warrior with a shield that was with a level or two of me (most say it is impossible to kill them in this situation, and often times, it is). But this time, we started swinging at each other for a while (I was a Cora Champion). I noticed that he was trying to save pots, so he wouldn't use a 2k pot until he had lost more than 2k health (he probably had 4k health total).
So I buffed up, slapped a weakness debuff on him, and then started to run once I got him down to about 1600 hp off his original. He started to run after me, and wasn't worried about his health because I was running. As I was running, I popped an Adrenaline potion (ups attack power a lot) and then turned around quickly and hit him with successive weapon skills (independant timers). I caught him completely off-guard because he thought I was running. I gained about 500 CP from the kill.
Again, you may not call that skill, but I think I planned it perfectly, and having my PT and Skill PT up pretty high definitely helped (one of the skills was level 4, the other was level 5). Anyway, I hope that helps dispel some of the rumors that skill plays no part in this game.
But in general, it is not a 1 vs 1 game. If you get a guild with Teamspeak, and decent party, and call targets, you will be extremely effective. That takes skill as well. Have someone debuff, people use skills at the same time, etc.
