Hail-O and well met.  To all those who would flock to my banner in the world of Eberron do so in the Khyber server.

here is my very brief take on the game, as most have already formed their respective opin's.

all the dungeons are instanced there is no PvP and no crafting (thank god) they have absloutly no system for PC merchants (again praise the lord) if you want to buy things you buy it from a NPC "Pawnbroker" basically players sell him stuff at a horrid loss and then he resells it for the clothes off your back...which may actually lead towards a economy thats tended towards Nb4G but who knows.  the game boasts the absloute best party based system in any MMO world (and i tend to agree) however it also boasts the most horrid single player experience to date (think UO when you hit the wrong recall stone and ended up in dragon valley geared for undead)  other than that skilled players will actually make a difference with the action combat system, fighters can actively block instead of having a passive system for that, and a rogue will actually make ends meat finding and disarming traps.

so the offer is on the table grab your favorite wand or battle axe and meet in the tavern for some spelunking.

This really is not WoW/EQ where Gear makes the man. Here in eVE, the man with biggest balls, willing to risk the most, will win. It is risk/reward here- not always wear best items 24/7 and beat the crap out of all else.

Yeah, I'm lovin' this game, particulary my base jumping dwarf who likes to leap from high places in the harbour.

Took on the 200 Kobolds with a party of rangers and clerics (with one sorceror).  As the only melee specialist I felt like a bloody hero, it was fantastic.  Rolling, dodging, blocking and taking most of the buggers out with one swipe from my greatsword.  Meanwhile, when I withdrew from the front line to heal etc.. the rangers did a stunning job of thinning the numbers for the spellcasters to finish the job.

I've never, ever had that feeling before in an MMO.  Just think of the battle at the end of the first LOTR movie.

Never could be bothered with crafting, never could be bothered with PvP (that's what BF2 and CoD2 are for) and never could be bothered walking across a so called 'wilderness' which is in fact overpopulated by monsters and player characters.
