I am currently debating to purhcase EQ2.
I've hear great comments about it, though.
I was wondering if I purchased EQ2: Kingdom of the Sky, does that come /w the other expansions?
....or would I have to purchase the original EQ2, and both expansions?
Comments
Thanks...
I have quit Guild Wars do to the fact of nobody wants to team, and it has become boring.
I'm more roleplay-oriented and heard the crowd at EQ2 is great!
Anyways does anyone know the best servers for roleplaying and teaming?
it really depends on your rig, EQ2 is VERY demanding.
I have an overclocked x2 4400+ (equavilent to a san diego single core 4000+ when it comes to games) with a 7800gt and 1 gig of ram and i have SERIOUS framerate issues when 4-5 players are killing something at the same time on anything but the "balanced" setting in options.
I run the game on "balanced" and well.. it doesnt look all that great, but at least it runs moderately well.
The animations are good in some areas and bad in others, i havent really experienced the questing outside the isle of refuge so i cant comment on that but from what ive seen it looks like players prefer grinding trash mobs outside the city rather then questing.
the community on the rp pvp server is great though.

I have a Athlon64 3200+, it is not overclocked.
6600GT and 1GB Ram.
What should I put my settings on? I am thinking of going to 2GB Ram and getting a 7800GTX soon.

PS: Excuse me for posting twice.
Unless youre getting a 512mb 7800GTX, then a 7800GT 256mb will do. The perfomance boost between a 256 mb GT and GTX is about 5% so its not worth it.
so either 7800GT 256mb or 7800GTX 512 mb.
Or you can wait for the 7900 series which is what i would do. The system you mentioned should play EQ2 fine on balanced or high performance, but get ready to crank the settings down in pvp or when more then 4-5 people on your screen are casting spells.
