For that alone this game has my interest. WOW has glitches where NPC's can 'shoot' through walls and ignore LOS while we need LOS. The NPC's also don't need direct LOS to cast at you,as they can rotate very quickly. It's annoying.
I'd like to see a game where NPC mobs 'AIM' their shots at you,giving you a chance to 'DODGE' them. Later mobs could have more homing spells,but it'd be nice to ranged combat consisting of having to 'AIM' at people. Duels would be more skillful,perhaps.
Let's hope Darkfall prevails.

This game sounds, yes sounds amazing, better than any other game out there atm. The gameplay video also helps to show that they have hacked out lots of the core work done for the game. However although i am a big supporter of the game i have yet to see any evidence (apart from models) that the most intresseting elements of the game have been done. Such as player cities / castles, modular housing construction, siegeweaons in action, ships in action, the "fun" crafting system, resource collection, trading mechanics and multitude which would make this game what we want and it proposes to be. They have also only shown limited player races/mounts, the various NPCs / creatures or armour/weapon models. With thier small dev team and what evidence of what they have produced so far, and they amount of time they have taken to get as far as they have now. It would seem that they have quite a few more years of development to do before they produce the game as everyone wants to see it.

You might have a point. Maybe waiting such a long time for a game is one of the things that's kills it for them.
I would say, considering the length of time that's passed, that there is the danger that people who lose interest during that time will find some other game to support. However, given the state of MMOs at the moment, I think people who have wandered off for the time being will run back post haste when/if the game comes to fruition. Nearly everyone I know who games is waiting for something good to happen.
All I know is since SWG went to NGE I have been looking for the next big thing that was somewhat like SWG when it first came out...many professions and a crafting experience like no other...
well Darkfall is the next big thing...so many details about this game that makes it so interesting...FFA PvP, Crafting that is even more advanced than SWG, a setting where epic battles can and will occur, a game where you have to fight to keep your land and resources, alignment system, all this and more...
It may have taken them a long time to make this game but atleast they didnt go the SOE route make you pay for a game that was NOT complete and take whatever profits they can to finish it...

Although I'm not a fan of either, I find it sort of funny that a Mourning fan is calling a Darkfall fan stupid. Somehow the opposite seems more appropriate. I thought the character models in Darkfall weren't very good, but I haven't played Darkfall, just seen pics. On the other hand, I HAVE played Mourning and those models were horrible... as was nearly everything about it. Same with DnL... didn't like it at all. It didn't look a bit like the screens, although some of the art work was nice.
Darkfall may not be the next big thing, and I'm not convinced yet we're even getting a release out of it, BUT... if they NEVER relsease it, it'll be a better game than Mourning!

Can't wait until these 15 amateur clowns do actually pull this off...so it takes time...no big deal I have some time until SWG2 comes out...not too worried really since I do have a life outside of gaming...but when they do pull it off TSR and Paravion, do us all a favor dont buy it and dont get in there...we will have enough fun killing each other...if you guys join up then it will be a massacre...5 milliong people against the two of you...
