Class progression different now?

in Everquest II
I tried the game when it first came out. I remember that you chose if you wanted to be a warrior, scout, etc. on the island and then at 10 you chose crusader or wahtever, then at 20 you actually picked your class. I was looking at the everquest2 website recently and all I saw for the classes were the actual end classes. Did they change the way the progression works?
