Go ahead and let us know what you would add. As for me, I think we are defenitely missing on these:
1. More levels - 20 lvls currently is ridiculous. I have 3 lvl 20s and I am really getting tired of not being able to get any further character wise. I am sure there are tons of people like me that will be leaving GW for this reason alone. I would add at least another 30-40 lvls, just like WOW.
1. More space for spells/Skills - There are far too few with all the skills one has access to. Its hard choosing which ones to take with you, harder as you get further in the game and you have more to choose from. I propose to duplicate the current amount of skills so that you can have for an E/MO space for Elemental skills and the same amount for Monk skills.
Lot more, but these are the ones I think would be represent a much better GW experience!!! What do you guys think?
Comments
1. They didnt have to add any lvls as the game is not number based but skill based. The lvls are simply to guide you through PvE. You wont see a higher lvl than 20 for a player in the near future, or ever most likly.
2. There are skills as you have 8 fingers. Skills are on rings. 8 is a pretty good number as it forces you to think and use the skills you ahve developed while playing, which brings us once again to the skill thing.
But most of all...
... I think a lot of these have been addressed in Factions, not long to wait now to find out.
Ascension - EU Mature, Friendly, Laid Back SW:TOR Guild now recruiting.
what do u do with mail when u can go to ur friend instantly for trade and so on?
what you pay for is what you get...^^
Not eveyone I play with is online at the same time, and certainly not everyone in my guild is. Mail is for sending itmes and messages to people who are not online when you are.

That's wierd, I paid for WoW for over a year and I don't remember ordering any lag or 9 year old "leet kids"

* A new trade systems well in the works
* Email system is due soon now.
* Guild hall upgrade is also due soon including merchants and such.
* Longer caps... dont know bout that one.
* Each prof gets another 3 sets of armor in the new chapter, but armor is chapter 1 is unlikly
* There is a high demand for changing of chars and is belived to be implimented in C2 or C3.
* You wont see an official GW forum, and for good reason, costs money, needs staff and servers and in the end you get the same from the community forums which the devs read anyway, even the small crappy ones.
All I want is to be able to make custom chat groups.

As for 1. I am actually playing this game BECAUSE it doesn't take ages to level. I've had my fair share of level grinding in the past, including the dreaded and much discussed Lineage grind. I can surely live without it. If GW would ever raise the level cap by even 1 level, the game will end up in the dustbin for me, and I would not play it anymore. GW caters a totally different market than most of the other MMOs out there right now, and I hope they keep it that way.
As for 2. The whole point (and half the fun) of the game is building a good 'deck' of 8 out of the 150 skills you have available for that character. Adding more slots would simply make team builds overly generic, with little variation in play style. And that would result in a lot less fun overall, I think.
What I would like to add is more character customization in terms of visuals (not in terms of better stats). Even with the dye mixing everyone looks kind of the same.
More overlap in the PvE and PvP content, but it seems that Factions is going to handle this
Less nerfing of skills that don't really need to be nerfed. I once even saw a thread popping up on a forum where people wanted to have the healers nerfed, because they could heal enemies in PvP and that was overpowered. It made me cringe.

Playing: Final Fantasy Online: ARR, Destiny
Most memorable games for me: UO, GW1, LoTRO
Yep, very true. Up to now, ANet has kept the advertising promises. They delivered what they said they would deliver, unlike some other MMOs where they changed the game concept drastically halfway.

And most of all.. God be able to link items to chat window!
Some ways to make PvE mildly interesting after level 20: +1 HP per skill point earned with exp, with maybe +1 attribute point instead of every 10th hit point. It would be a minor benefit that wouldn't throw PvP out of whack, but would give some meaning to playing beyond level 20.
More, unlockable storage. My suggestion is a Xunlai faction, with Xunlai faction points earned by uncovering more of the world map, with maybe additional quests for characters that have fully explored the map and if the player doesn't want to create a new character/start one over to reexplore the map for more faction. Faction can be redeemed for more slots, which get progessively more expensive.
Unlocked skills are unlocked for PvE characters as well. Don't force players to keep buying skills for characters. Only make then spend the skill points for them. Also, the ability to unlock more slots would be good as well. I'm thinking 3 slots at start + 1 PvP slot. Add the ability to unlock 3 more PvE slots through playing.
No And Yes
with your first suggestion you do give people who play 10 hours a day, or farm 90% of their time a big advance. they'll gain way more xp than people who play trough the story in group and or play alot less a day.
another bad thing to the first suggestion of yours, would become visible not in the first month but in time, it'll clearly become visible that people have every attribute point full, since i can easily gain 10 lvl's when i just play a few hours in my favorite farm spots
that would mean that i get 1 or more attribute points a day... meaning i have enough to put every attribute on 13 in a few months
if that would be possible they can also just give everyone 13 attrib points in the beginning.
the fun of building a healing monk is gone since you never have to set smiting points into healing since they both are max (just an example of some monk attributes)
your 2nd suggestion is nice, buying or earning new storrage spaces would be a nice feature, gaining some points for the xunlai in some way is an option arena net should look into.
Don't touch the lvls or the attributes. This is not an MMO, it is not made for the RPG aspect of it. Some ppl like me just got it for the PVP Purely. If I want an MMO I will go play a real f'ing MMO. As someone said "The PVE is mearly a guide"
This is a medieval FPS.
A Work in Progress.

/sigh
Given that there will be a PvE expansion pack every six months that's one hell of a "guide". ;o)
Just as a note (and not aimed at this particular poster, although there is a flavour of it), can we have an end to the "my games better than your game" bullshit that this forum is so famous for please?
Why do you bother posting if you're post is going to be of the "your game sucks my game rules" type. Just go play your game and leave the rest of us alone!

I like the game, but it doesn't hit the MMORPG mark on any level. You can't tell me it does.
I was just mearly saying to the OP, that if he wants that stuff go play a MMORPG because this is not one.

Well the +1 HP idea is meant to be incorporated with increasing XP costs. So the 50th HP is supposed to cost a lot more than the first HP.
As for attribute points... I really think Arenanet should add more skills instead of more classes. Most builds I've created tend to revolve around 2 attributes with a little leftover being put into the passive attribute. Like as a Mesmer, I go 12/12/4, with the last being fast casting. As a monk I do 11/10/10, with the 10 being divine power for the extra healing. If everyone has 12 in all attributes, it's really no big deal since it will only increase the versaility in making 4 or even 5 attribute builds possible. Which wouldn't necessarily be broken since characters are still limited to 8 skills.
Well First of all the whole Guild Wars game is based on the fact you go to lvl 20 and if you are into a game 20 levels should be enough
Then the point for only having 8 skill slots is too communicate with ur party before hand and actually plan things with out rushing in the fight
There are no expantions planned for any GW chapter. There will be new games in the franchise which add new PvE, PvP and other gameplay changes. But no expantions.
i'ff they would add those things like what he sad then it would be much for playfull. i think...
iff they would add things like--> lvl 30-40 or bigger map then they would sell more Guild Wars and it would be more populair thats what i think (my oppinion).
and then it would be much more fun to play GW when u have more monsters bigger maps more quests high lvl ranking..
that is what i would like iff they would put it into the game
well iff they may put this into the game i would buy the next Guild Wars thats come in holland in the store
I'FF there comes an new expansion or an new Guild Wars
Most of the free games don't even have lvls at all. BF2, counterstrike, added more lvls to GWs would do nothing, added more content gives people stuff to do. Added more lvls and content does the exact same thing, except it requires the game to need to be rebalanced.
Realize if they went from lvl 20-40. You HP would double and your damage would double and the damage of you enemies would be scaled, and it would be a complete wash. If it takes 15seconds for somone to own you now, it would still take 15seconds for them to own you if they cap was at 40.
Your abosoulety correct about the lvls definetly maybe but the specials list up to 10 but that isnt to bad
