    Dento,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the game. Most of issues you are having are related to the new patch that came out last Thursday (stuck in systems, windows popping up, etc). I know that deleting the MachoNet folder in the Cache directory has fixed the popup window effect for many people, and if it doesn't work for you, a full reinstall should fix it completely. As for getting stuck in systems, CCP is trying their best to get the servers updated and working right. Its really is hard writing software and only being able to test it on a testbed that's 1/100 the size of its final deployment - things crop up that just can't be predicted with a smaller model. So please be patient while the issue is being taken care of. CCP are very loyal to their game and their customers. If you feel that you missed out on a lot with your trial, you might be able to contact them through support and get it extended.

so much for wanting the thread to die.

oh and dento as when you stated with the new hardware there can be issues with the software not being compatible with it. Being that they went from I believe 32-bit single core xeon processor machines to, what was it again, 64-bit dual core Opteron processor machines (yeah it might be misspelled and i might be wrong but i dont care) the software might not be able to utilize the new machines fully and in some cases might even hinder performance with the software. but hey they cant keep the servers down while they get the software optimized to use the hardware efficently, but when they do youll probably see an huge performance boost than from what you see now. but if they did get everthing optimized to use the new hardware and its just as bad (well bad or good dont know which way to go honestly) as it is now i might complain a little about that.

Heck im still impressed that they can keep over 20k players running on that cluster of thiers decently with some issues. i just hope that we can see 40k in the future with minor problems in systems such as Jita. ::::24::

now if there are any errors in info let me know so i can edit this crap sentence, but for now i gotta finish writing my term paper. "Explaination of Replication in Active directory Forests and Domains" and if anyone knows where i can get some more info for this let me know, as long as it isnt microsata...err...microsofts website ::::35::

True they get problems, specially when it's a new hardware, it happens everytime, it happens with everygame, specially it's a new patch with new hardware so it WILL happen, and the problem if you read the news are memory leaks, that causes many errors when a single one generates.

If your idea of fun is being stuck in one place for hours all the power to you dumba$$

you don't get stuck in one place if you don't choose to, you're stuck in one place because you didn't actually knew how to fly around, if you learn carefully you'll find yourself flying around in many places seeing many different systems and ships, your arguement here is not valid.

And you're right on 1 point you can't go around killing stuff  like you do in wow because the game locks and leaves you stranded

not true, maybe you couldn't find the turret-activating module ? you get alot of things to activate while your target is locked by the way, again an invalid arguement.

some of us like some challenge in games but this game has 0 challenge for anyone with even half a mind.

    good by fanboi

0 challenge is how you lose millions of ISK ( money ) when you lose your ship or get podded, the heartbeating adrinaline rushing that makes your heart almost stop from the fear of losing so much money and effort to an apponent isn't of any challenge to you.

there's insurance yes, but for the ships only, and Advanced ships only get insurance of normal ships when they cost so much to make, and the modules can't be insured, and some modules cost more than the ship itself, so where's the challenge ? it's everywhere. 10 out of 10 for challenge, so your arguement here is also invalid

summery : play the game to it's fullest before judging, if you don't like this type of games then simply find another that suits you, people shouldn't play games they don't enjoy, because they'll only make fools out of themselves to other people.

EVE is a very complex game with alot of challenge, hardware problems never accure without getting fixed, it's not the first time and it won't be the last, also if you lose any item due to CCP's fault, they will reimburse the lost items for you, unlike blizzard that actually might never care if you lose an item or not, because banning people is becoming a habit for them when they mention that they'be been hacked, and ask for legal papers and stuff like that, but when CCP had such things accured ( which actually accured a few weeks ago, they reset the passwords for the suspected stolen accounts and asked people to file petitions and ask for reimbursement.

you get my point now, if not it's ok, and i believe it's time for this topic to get locked because it's going nowhere
