I mean, if we're going by dates that aren't directly from the Company Line, why not use them all? Since none of them came from Rapid Reality itself.

yes Rapid Reality stated a 2nd quarter release; it was mmorpg.com that listed it as the first day of Q2 (which mmorpg.com usually does). That being said, however, I have very little hope that the game will be live by the end of June. I would go as far as to say I would be surprised if beta had started befor june.
Edit: Lol already pushed back to 2007 (dec 2006) That's just pathetic. The game has had the beta/expected release date moved like 4 times now in less then 6 months. SO your answer Infra is that it got pushed back from Q2 to the end of Q4 before even the end of Feb. The developers of this game are running amok in ineptitude. I feel sorry for what you got yorself involved in Luke. Hopfully, it's at least a good steping stone into the industry for you.

i havn't seen one, though i admit i have quit looking very much.
last i heard they gave up on dates and just use the 'its ready when its ready' comment to basicly admit that its nowhere near being ready and won't be any time in the foreseeable future.

Sometime in Q2 is not the official date. As CG said, they've never set a release date.

Well, seeing how it's team of 20-30 people working on 4 mmorpgs same time...that might be just tiny bit too optimistic.
Actually we're above 50 now working on 2.5 Titles.

I dont know about the rest of you guys.....
But personally, I'd rather they spent a couple extra months perfecting the game rather then just throwing it out on the market.
Think about it! If they just hurriedly finished it simply to shut everyone up....the game would be crappy and then we would all just sit around and complain that the game isnt as good as it could be, and that they just hurried through it to get it on the market....
Its a double-edged sword kids so quit complaining cause I WANT them to spend time on the game.

I played Horizons (as did many other RR staff members)... we actually all agree it was released early, which was the cause of the bugs.

No wrong. Thats not why it was a hunk of shit when it was released. They had huge internal problems. If you saw what the game was suposed to be like how I did then you would know what I am talking about. Their direction was now lost and they knew the game was shit so they dumped it into the toilet hoping people would like it. The guy who created it had the company taken out from under him. His vision for the game was far different then the shit that came out. I used to folow it back when he was in charge trust me.
Also a better comparison to games that promise to much and do not deliver is Mourning. These companies will glady take your $20 beta though.

Gee. What an incredibly original and spontanious opinion. Its not like we haven't heard something just like this evertime a MMORPG is delayed.

With Dark and Light we've heard this every day for the past four years.

So let me ask you this Infra. How long have you been in the MMO Market? Let me guess, since SWG? Maybe Lingeage II? Wait maybe you jumped in lately when WoW came out. Look here man, get used to it.
I've been in the MMO Market since Ultima Online Beta, and played just about every mmo since then. Every MMO is delayed, some more than others. Updates are delayed, some more than others. Patches/fixes in every game some get fixed immediately, some take what seems forever.
In the end, theres nothing you can do about it, quit crying on these boards. If you don't like it, don't wait for the game. Its that simple. Go out and enjoy life a bit and maybe then you can focus on something more than coming home everyday to have your grapes crushed (as Wrython so eloquently put it) because TC isn't out yet.
And lastly, no Kai isn't on the payroll, and shes more sensible about the entire issue than your fingers you used to type this dribble.

Ok 1 danielle isn't on payroll, that being said seriously did you make a thread just to flame? Are you waiting for the game or you have no time so you go to games that you don't like and just flame. Let us that are patient and more mature wait for the game and ones that are impatient like yourself go find a game that won't be delayed. Oh wait you can't can you? So far mmocenter is doing better than other MMO companies and I am willing to wait a little while even if there dates were wrong, I would have been shocked if they were right anyway.
And I rather it take longer and get it done, I am not going to say delays are good though, But even though I hate delays I have no problem waiting a few extra months for a complete game that I can enjoy, just as long as they don't give release dates they can't keep. Lets not forget TC had a good reason for delaying (new engine) while other companies just are not done with their games.
All I am saying is don't get your hopes up for this game even being released. So many games begin production yet never get finished. Shit the list is huge and they always have fanboys that tell everyone else to stfu and to let them finish the game because a game released with bugs sucks. Ive heard it to many times. I am a little more pissed because I was a dumb ass and gave them $20 for the beta sign up. I knew I shouldnt have done it but oh well to late now.
To be honest I'm not sure if this is going to be the normal scam of the future; to set up bullshit websites about a game that will never come out and take beta money and keep the cash that doesn't get refunded.
P.S. Also notice all these guys sticking up for the game are in Unknown Origin? Get the F--K out of my face with your optisism.

Hey what's up Mr. Isayshiteveryotherwordforfiller, For the record, I wasn't sticking up for TC, I was sticking up for a guild member that was being ripped apart for expressing an opinion that wasn't on par with the OP.
If TC is going to be a great game or a horrid one is anyone's guess. I'm just keeping up with the game because I love their ideas and like to support the little guy in this sea of generic MMOs.

Mourning looked to me like a scam from day one. But TC is definately not vaporware.
TC has had delays, but there are valid reasons for thoes delay's. They switched their game engine from Kaneve to Aura, and for good reason. Aura is much more flexible for what they are doing.

Look around for the posts saying that delaying a game to switch engines is not justified. That RR's lost all of its credibility because the games been delayed from the release date they never set. Then look at their DnL and Darkfall sigs.
