look at the last sentence, when you sign up for account you will discover this means
£8.99+VAT
or a price of £10.56 per month.
Just a warning as there is no monthly pricing on the box and you will only notice once you open box and enter code, invalidating any returns on the game you might have had.
Hope MMORPG post prices including VAT on their site instead of what codemasters have done, hidding it in the small print, to save any confusion for potential customers.

I thought DDO was also releasing in EU... that is EU people can play EU servers and not have to worry about VAT? That that would be a problem only if they tried to player the american severs and pay "codemasters US"
We ALWAYS pay VAT on internet services. At least since the law passed and online services became taxable.
So is no surprise, but, maybem, the fact they put the untaxed prices in their lists. Then, though, the tax still varies from state to state from a 15% minimum to 18% or something similar.
"If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime"
Does is say "monthly fees may/do apply" on the box?
If it doesnt than you can return it after buying it because it counts as hidden pricing which always has a return guarante (if you are within the EU).
On another note no mmorpg-box I have seen has its monthly fee on the box only "addition fees will apply".
(The Vat-tax is because of the import/export regulations for countries outside of the EU.)
