US/EU server divission?

Hi all,

Does DDO, like some MMO's, force a split between US and EU players? If i buy a EU retail box will I only be able to play on EU servers like CoH or can i play on ANY sever?

Or is it a case of, all the servers are accessable to all and sundry? I have old buddies stateside and i would like to join them.

The servers are different so you won't be able to log onto a US server. What you could do is either see if one of the retailers ships to the EU or do like me and order from gamersloot.com - you don't get a box or dvd so you'll have to d/l the client though.
