Empire at War

in Star Wars Galaxies

I have wanted to buy this game ever since I quit SWG.  It actually has content and a GCW, unlike SWG.  So my question is, is there a sandbox mode in Empire at War? I had Galactic Battlegrounds and loved making my own battles in the editor and then playing them out.  Does Empire have any of this?

    Yes, Skirmish mode. Just pick which side you want to be, then pick land or space, then the system.

    Also, if you do pick it up I susgest sitting through the tutorial, the game is very complicated. I was playing battlegrounds before EaW for "practice" and it really didnt help, the games have little in common.

    Many have found this game to be a dissapointment, and with good reason.

    I've played it myself, and it is. My advice? Download it for free off bittorent. Don't reward LA with your money for this overrated generic piece of crap.

    Great game but not as good as RA2

    I'm not sure why some people seem to hate Empire at War, I've been playing it a fair bit and been having a lot of fun with it. It does exactyl what I expected it to do, pretty good graphics, great sound, I have enjoyed the campaigns, it's got a sort of "sandbox" mode where you can just pick a side and work on taking over the galaxy, multiplayer but I've not tried that yet, been playing the single player game so far.

    My opinion is it's a very good Star Wars strategy game, and it's 100 times more "star Warsy" and "Iconic" than SWG image

    It's a good game. Not a GREAT game, but a good one.

    Not one to keep me interested for long.. the replay value is lacking for me.
