Blue Screen of Death Help

Hello, i havent been on these forums in a while. But i have a problem. My computer keeps getting the Blue Screen of Death, and i think it has something to do with my video card driver. The error message reads something like DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. My video card is an AIT Radeon X700 Pro. Has anyone had similar problems with these kind of video cards, or vid cards on general, or anything like this or know how to fix it? Thx in advance

Am I ever wrong??

uninstall drivers...reboot...download latest drivers from ATI and install. if that doesn't fix it, then it might be time for an operating system format/reload.

    good luck

Alright when is this problem occuring. Just at random? when you try to start a program up? Why do you suspect its your GFX card?

It sounds like one of your drivers is corrupt or missing a file or something or one components is messing with anothers IRQ. Have you installed anything new on the computer?

If you have try taking that out and starting the computer. Try taking out your GFX card and starting the computer (if you have an onboard video support you can switch to in the mean time. If you give a little more info I might be able to help. Just what happens before it shows up

Here’s the mail I got recently who fixed my problem permanently

Thank you for posting the query on Community.

I am sorry to know that you are facing issues with ‘BSOD driver IRQL not less or equal’. This could be due to driver issue. I suggest you to update the drivers by visiting manufacturer's website and check if that helps.

Update the drivers for this device
To do this, follow these steps:
    1. In Device Manager, click the Driver tab in the device's Properties dialog box.
    2. Click Update Driver to start the Hardware Update Wizard.
    3. Follow the instructions to update the driver.

If the issue persist I would suggest you to install the latest driver in compatibility mode and check if issue persist.

Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode:

    1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.
    2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.
    3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.
    4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.
    5. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

Hope this information is helpful. Please do let us know if you need further assistance, we’ll be glad to assist you.
