A Rogues' Game

One thing DDO does better then any other title in the history of MMOs is the rogue class. This class is no longer just a backstabber but a real trap disarmer and a lock picker and that "spidey-sense" is cool in its own right. And if you want to make your rogue DPS at the expense of all that, you still can do that too.

If you like the rogue-game, this is a rogues' game.

Agreed. The best implementation of a rogue yet. Rogue is a must have class in any good group.

I agree, I do not play rogues generally but they are certainly enjoyable to play with. In DDO rogues give you access to more goodies in dungeons, shortcuts to key areas and make traversing the inevitable traps much easier. Also because DDO is not as restrictive as other games in classes you can make the rogue that you prefer.

If you like the sneak attack assasin aspects of rogue you can mix classes races and feats to maximize the sneak attack artist aspects. If you want to be hero that gets the party past those deadly traps or finds that valuable treasure chest you can focus your design in that direction. Heck you could even combine a magic user and rogue to create a debuf master who strikes from the shadows, reducing your target to a babbling idiot with the strenght of a small child before you let go with a power sneak attack. :)

I've repeated a quest without a rouge when one was used before, and it certainly didn't go very smoothly.  The Rouge is an integral part of any succesful group without a doubt.  I really like how you have to build a well rounded and balanced group in this game, adds a whole new element.  A good Rogue is key!

I agree. I love my Rogue1/Ranger 2. He can go almost anywhere because of various rogue and ranger things, is invaluable to the group, and is a killing machine. Don't leave home without your rogue in DDO. (But two is overkill, and hurts the group overall)
