Hi yall! First off, I'd like to introduce myself. Few (very few) people know me from and old WoW guild called "The Black Armada" when I was known as Kishudo Saoiris, and others may know me better as "Siralos Iresse" or "Ariesse Windstryder" on Corbantis in Star Wars Galaxies. But, you can all call me Kish (short nickname).
Anyways, I just bought Guild Wars yesterday at Best Buy after much thinking, and at first I didnt like the instanced world, but, then I got mroe into it, and I'm starting to like it.
I started out the game by making an Elementalist, and I liked how fast I could cast spells on my enemy, and I liked the healing aura (it's helped alot, haha). But, soon there after, I walked up a stoop and forgot that little pesky "Gwen" was following me, and got stuck. I tried getting out, but, after about 5 minutes, I figured I'd take this time to try out another class. So, I made a Necro, and I was fairly pleased. I liked the health stealing spells, but I didnt find the swarm spell (or whatever it is) too appealing. Then, I signed back onto my Elementalist, and was glad to see that he was transported back Ascalon City, and then walked around with him, saw some places, and did a mission. But, I didnt go very far at all.
I've only made it to level three, haha, but, I'm thinking of grinding tommorow up to about lvl 10-15, then trying out the PvP arenas (one of the biggest reasons why I bought this game), and, let me tell you, and I cannot WAIT to unlock some good skills, and start building a force to reckon with. BUT, I have not tried any secondary proffessions yet, and I was thinking Ele/Mo, give me some good damage, and healing spells. Or Ele/Mes, so that I can stick to more of a caster type character than a hybrid caster/healer.
So, any advice would be accepted, and very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. and I can't wait to play this game some more! If you want to reach me ingame and help me out or anything, you can reach me at Kishudo Saoiris.
Again, thanks in advance.

Good to have another n00b to pwn Kidding . Just a few notes, you cant really grind in GW as its not based on lvls or items and such. Just play the story, and quests and its something thatll just happen as you move along. Dont rush. Normaly I wouldnt suggest anyone plays PvP till they're 150 hours into the story for several reasons: 1) Youll know the mechanics of gameplay which takes a while to learn 2) Youll hav a guild to play with 3) You'll have skills, weapons mods and runes by then which youll lack at the start.
Dont forget to pick a secondary profession for your ele (monk is a good one), and to th right out of ascalon, find Price Rurick and just stand by him for about 60seconds, watch what he says and youl see something happen
Last hint, remember, lvl 6, you can tell wheh you're leaving by the red text in the window and the warning of no going back.
