Star Wars Galaxies was my favorite of all time, but since its been hacked up I would have to say Dark Age of Camelot with its diversity in characters classes and the the whole aspect of Arthurian, Celtic and Midgard Fantasy Lore that follows this game. Where else can you go and see Stonehedge or how about wielding the powers of the Midgards or better yet becoming a Hiberian (tree huggers) and follow the Celtic tradition.
The best about this game is its RvR (Realm vs Realm). You can go into Battlegroundsfrom levels 1 to 4, 5 to 9, 10 to 14 well you get the picture. And the icing on the cake it that you can use Siege Weapons on raiding Castle Walls, catapults amoung many other types of Siege Weapons as you can see on this link.
Mines Ragnarok Online, cause its really easy to communicate on it; and Gravity actually listens to there customers ever since Samsung isn't in control anymore and Cyberbank seems to be letting the company do what they want. Like I have seen atleast 3 of my ideas implemented in-game.
PvP: DAoC. Just wish they hadn't made small scale PvP more rewarding than large scale RvR.
World/crafting: SWG. Loved my MBE/MCH (after they fixed BE). The BE crafting was the most complex in any game I have ever played with no two creations being exactly the same. CH was fun just going out and working with your pets. I loved hanging out in cantinas listening to SW music with the occasional blaster fire. And I loved just exploring the different worlds on my speeder or one of my mounts. Too bad the game never had more purpose than trying to become a jedi (which I never even bothered with).

Just remember the game has 3 factions you can choose from and have a choice of what type of server you like to play.
The only thing this game lacks if that its a very old MMORPG that just got revamped for the better.
Hands down, if this game came out today with the new ENGINE style of MMORPG,
it would be the #1 MMORPG out there.

UO. Too many reasons to list.
PvE: Everquest from the beginning until SoL.
PvP: DAoC. Just wish they hadn't made small scale PvP more rewarding than large scale RvR.
