Major Responsibilities:
Nadias just dismissed this info as 'rumors' on the official forums. Doesn't look like a rumor to me.
LucasArts has always seemed like a console *hore to me. TIE Fighter was their best game, close second would be the KOTOR set but even with those huge hits it always seems like LA looks more towards consosle development then PC development. Has always left a bad taste in my mouth...

SWG - 1st Gen MBH (Closed)
EVE (Closed)
WoW (61 Orc Hunter - Blackwing Lair)
GuildWars (Boring...)
Yep, it is not supposed to be a rumor if it is official vacancy announcement. SOE is not LA so they may not know what is happening inside LA. Its like asking outdoor janitor to confirm information about company's new unannounced projects
I don't blame them.
Console titles sell way more units most of the time. And if their multiplatform games sold twice as many units on consoles than on PC, then it'd be only wise to concentrate on consoles.
So quick question[or two] for all you lovely people that play live console games and PC MMO's: Do you spend more time on your PC or console??
Console games i've always found to be a bit 'take it or leave it' whereas on the PC (pre-NGE SWG especially) I'd sit and invest much more time in it. So it's all fine and dandy that they sell more units, but will consolers be a part of the core gaming community in crossover games? (Assuming there is a crossover) or will the game start to flag when some newer titles come out?
I don't think people playing console games are much different than those playing PC games. It all depends on games that are released - and there haven't been many games that'd give you reward for the time invested, but the few that did were really loved by players. People don't neccessarily jump on whatever's new - there's a huge amount of people still playing Halo, Halo 2, Wolfenstein online.
And I'm sure there'll be thousands playing mmorpg when they're released widely (and not like EQA or FFXI on PS2, which were torture to play or required a hard disk which was hard to get). Beta of FFXI on X360 has started a few months ago (client came with Official Xbox Magazine) and people reacted like PC gamers react to mmorpgs - some hated it, some thought it was too complicated, but lots of them can't stop playing. Remember when you played your first mmorpg? That's how most of the people on FFXI feel - they're in awe, cause they've never seen a game like that. And FFXI on X360 is not a very good port, to tell you the truth.
I think if they come up with a mmorpg built specifically for consoles, it'll be huge.
