MMORPG.COM DAOC GUILD

I am willing to move ahead and Establish a MMORPG.com guild within the Realm of Albion on the Lancelot Server. Being the 2nd most populated server of the Northern US, it does not have crowded dungeons and camps beyond the hope of even being there.

RvR is a constant theme on this server of late, due to the lack of interest that remains in TOA. Both Hibernia and Midgard offer good resistance within this server, With Hibernia housing all Power relics and Albion housing all Strength relics.

What has yet to be determined is the name we shall go by.
(Admin - Would appreciate some input here)

So, please post within this thread, what names you would like to suggest as being representative of this community.

Come Jan. 9th I will post a poll of the names suggested within this thread and the decision will be determined by the members of this community on Jan. 16th.

On Jan 16th, I ask all members of this community who wish to join the MMORPG.com DAOC GUILD of LANCELOT to meet at the Guild Name Registry in the City of Camelot at 10pm EST.

I will be present by the name Narustam.

The subject of a Guild Website will be discussed later on.

The guild name I have is "The Fifth Column" or "]V[

 

A fifth column refers to any clandestine group or faction of subversive agents who attempt to undermine a nation's solidarity.

Who came up with the phrase, and what's with the columns? Emilio Mola Vidal, a Nationalist general during the Spanish Civil War (1936-39), originally coined the term. As four of his army columns moved on Madrid, the general referred to his militant supporters within the capital as his "fifth column," intent on undermining the loyalist government from within.

well it will soon start maybe in like 2 weeks but we dont know what server its gonna be on server most of us our on, we will not be on a server 1 guy is on we will ask people what server there HIGHEST char is on and well choose that one...

If no new games were on the horizon, I'd jump on this opportunity.  The best MMORPG out right now is DAOC.  Repeat:  the best MMORPG out right now is DAOC.  In about two or three months, there are going to be much better choices in MMORPG's.  Even Ultima Odyssey looks to be more promising that the games out these days.  And when EQ2 arrives, everything I've played will fall to the wayside, permanently!

Nope, my days of DAOC are over.  But I wish the best for you who cling onto this game.

 I have tried both DAoC and FFXI and i must say FFXI is MUCH better than DAoC in my oppinion.

Dark Age of Camelot had good fighting and RvR, but thats as far as i'll go with it.

 FFXI has flying skyships, boats, chocobos all for transportation. The fighting is good. having a party is a blast. The graphics are awesome and the world is so well detailed compared to DAoC. There are lots of great tradeskills such as fishing, weaving, goldsmithing, ect. The missions are fun and theres constantly quests you can do (that don't suck). I am constantly doing different things in FFXI.

 If FFXI isn't your cup of tea theres going to be so many games in 2004 (which is now) and 1 of them must suit what your looking for. I'd advise staying away from DAoC in my oppinion unless you like constant levelling until level 50 then RvR.

Im with you billius, I thought about this but I'm really just going to survive off AC2/CS until UXO or EQ2 comes out, whichever comes first is the one i'll play.

Ok as my first post in this thread mentions, this is on the Lancelot Sever.

I would like to ask that you keep all posts within this thread related to the topic issued and not regarding why your not going to play DAOC because of other games you have interest in.

There are threads for those and other issues. Please stick to the topic at hand.

ALBION LANCELOT!!!! OMFG!!!! Do you have ANY idea how inbalanced realm populations are on Lancelot, joining Albion is just sad i must say. Used to be Albion just owned everyone and everything, then around the time of the Galahad refugees(200 somethin Hib's) came n bit after that Hib started doin really well aswell, leaving Midgard to just be overrun. As for Midgard puttin up a fight thats cause it's the only realm that relies on skill and it's plentiful there however there are nowhere near enougth people to stand up to the constant zerg's of the albions. So yes lets just go and make the server population even more screwed up! Why don't u go for a challange and at the same time support realm stability in populations and join midgard rather than albion.

MIDGARD FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Even thinking of goin back just to help out old friends there, damn wheres my credit card)

If you havent played on Lancelot lately, midgard's forces are = to albions....

Due to the comments made within this thread regarding this topic, i have lost all motivation to lead such an idea.

Have u been playing Midgard lancelot? i'm thinking not. As for leaving it up to me, don't expect me to be doing anything, i was merely commenting on how about goin to sumwhere that needs people rather than just packing the realm leaders. If u acctually did/do want a guild i suggest u keep with it n just don't listen to me.

I ain't got any problems with anyone, i'm just against people going to albion lancelot. As i said don't read what i type if don't like it.

I've played on lancelot since DAOC was first released. SO i think its safe to say I know what im talking about when it comes to the population of Lancelot server. Midgard's population is starting to level off with Albions' now. Hibernia still has a ways to go.

Now only 1 person who wasn't interested in participating in my idea, actually wished the concept the best of luck and left it at that. Everyone else has either flamed or criticisied. WTF. If you want that, go to the VN Boards. They'll love you.

At least show some maturity and be civil regarding someone else's idea's for the benifit of others...

Untill I hear some legitimate and sincere voices interested in participating in my idea, im not going to sacrifice my own time outside of my regular schedule to meet those requirements. Let alone sit here and let my ideas be insulted.
