The Best MMORPGS?

So, I want to know the best MMORPG because for the past year of so i have been confined to an isometric game The Myth of Soma. I generally have grown to hate this game for its poor customer care fashist rulling on the forums, shoddy game programmming etc etc. The reason ive been playing this game is becuase my PC isnt good enough to run anything better, but now the time has come an in the next few weeks i will be purchasing a brand new pc. So i want to find a new MMORPG to play but i dont really know which one to choose. I've had a look at a few - Star Wars Galaxies, City of Heroes and Dark and light (which i spent a good few months following). I want to know what you recccomend playing out of all the MMORPG's out there.

City of heroes and Dark and Light are not out yet. There are also a large number of MMORPGs coming out over the next year. I would suggest picking one of the new ones. EQ2, Lineage 2, and City of heroes all seem to offer something unique.

If EQ2 looks cool then also check out World of Warcraft and Ultima X.

The problem is no one realy knows anything about thes egames yet but I personaly like playing them from early on. The inital time period of discovery is fun.

ive been searching through other games and i read all of the 9th domain site and i very much look forward too playing it. Problem with 9d uiis that its in pre alpha stages, gonna take 2 years at least for beta to even start. Further looking i see linage2 is pretty stunning.

 If your looking for a good combat system i must say UXO so far looks like the best i have ever seen. Unfortunatley there is no tradeskills whatsoever.

 WoW looks like it has lots of content to the game, tons of great transportation, cool races, the world looks huge. Also tradeskills in the game.

 EQII I haven't read much on, personally i dont like the graphics, and that's pretty much the big hype of the game.

 There are tons of others coming out too.

Not a game out right now...but like Rathma..UXO looks to have the most solid combat.  Its the game that I am putting all my pennies into and I will be looking forward to trying to get into beta...if you can wait a little, I would suggest holding off for that new one...

Lineage 2 undisputably.

The amount of art put in this game is mind-boggling. Even Raffael, Leonardo-Davinci would be impressed to see this game.

The gameplay is somewhat repetitive at the beginning following usual threadmill like many other game of this kind. But everything about this game is tuned for high-end players with epic PvP clan siege battle, etc.

However when Guild Wars comes, I will put this game on balance.

Depends on what your looking for.  There is no one best MMORPG.  As of right now there's still pretty much just a couple of games worth playing on the market atm.  However there will be some really great ones within the next 6 months. I'll split up my picks based on type and you can then decide what best suits you.

First Player vs Monster Environment:

For pure pve I probably gotta say EQ2.  It should be a good game, and for those that despise PvP this one is for you.

 

PvE and some PVP:

This one has to go to WoW.  However UXO comes in a close second.  Each offers its own take on pvp and both should have well developed worlds with tons of stuff to do.

 

Pure PVP:

This one I'd split evenly between two games those being Lineage2 and Darkfall.  Each has their own benefits check them out.

 

RPK:

This is by far my favourite genre (think old UO) pretty much its just as intensive pvp are the two above however large amounts of roleplaying elements have been added in as well.  There's a reason for PvP whether it be your playing an assassin or you have declared a blood feud against someone.

 

 

Anyways its up to you in the end.  Think about what you like the most and then check out the game.
