transfering guildwars gold to factions ?

i was just wondering if you can use the gold what u have got on the first Guildwars for Factions i.e put it into the storage and being able to use it with in factions ? i know factions is a complete new game and u dont need Guildwars 1 to run it but is it possible can any one help me plz ?

If you own both, you can transfer characters, items, gold, etc back and forth.

thanks alot Bob for that info ...... one more question how many char slots do u have is it the same as the first one 4 slots ? because i realy wouldn't mind make 1 of every class

Standalone guild wars factions - 4 charachter slot.
Linking guild wars and factions - 6 slots.

can u use one of your char u already have and use him on factions ?
