Stop complaining about SOLOING!

If you are looking for solo content, almost every other MMO to date has solo content. DDO is the first game to exclusively focus on grouping and grouping strategies. If they released solo content, it would throw the whole game off balance. If you can't find a group, start one. If you really have the time to sit around and complain about solo content and not being able to find a group, you certainly have the time to find a group (most it has taken me is 20 minutes...at level 9!). WOW offered the most soloable game out there. It took about 2-3 hardcore weeks to get a character to 60. The game is out there for you, go and play it. If you are looking for strategy and a focus on teamplay, DDO could be right for you.

While I agree with you, I can see why some would complain about the lack of ability to solo.  They are expecting the typical MMO as comparable to others on the market.  But they won't get that with DDO.  That's not to say that it's not a great game, but it's not going to be for everyone.  For those who give it a real chance and like a change of pace for their MMO, this game is going to be a lot of fun.  But there are some people who really like to play their MMO as if it were a single-player game (I don't know why).

Now, on the other hand, you can solo perfectly well in DDO.  You just need to take your time, not get overwhealmed in the dungeon, and carry plenty of healing potions with you (that or make a battle cleric).  When I'm on during slow times and it's taking a bit to find a group, I'll go off and solo a couple dungeons I enjoy doing.  Granted they don't give as much exp as you can get with a group, and you might not be able to do it on a high enough difficulty to get the really good treasure, but it can be done.

So, while people have the right to complain about the game not being like the typical MMOs on the market, hopefully they can adapt to the different style of DDO and still enjoy it...

To me it is not the lack of solo play, but the lack of doing anything at all but grouping and doing quests/dungeons.

I dont mind picking up a group or joining, as far as I am concerned this game has one the best players bases of any MMO.

But, I mainly play with RL friends and we are about 10 people, when none of them are online or are about to get online and one has to wait, all you can do is run circles around the marketplace.

There just isnt any other form of content but the dungeons, wich is a bit sad really.

Im still playing and wil probably continue to do so, but I will also continue to miss a lot of features in this game, housing in particular is something I would really like to see.

Funny, but I saw no "false advertising".   The game has always been portrayed as a group-centric game.

Now there ARE adventures at all levels that you CAN solo, if you're a skilled player, have a good build, and have decent equipment.

But 98% of the content requires at least a duo.
