Now, are all guilds KOS to each other or is there some mechanism that has to be set before they can fight each other?
I like the idea of guild-based PvP, but I can also see this hurting the community if the first thing you do when you see someone not in your guild is to kill them.

At the moment, a guild A can declare war over a guild B. The guild B can accept > the war start immediatly between the 2 guilds. The guild B can refuse > the war will start in several days. It gives some time for the guild B to find allies or find a political solution with the guild A.
I like what i read here about GvG, that if you refuse war because they are to strong/large you can find allies to help you when the war starts a few days later.
Hope this will work just fine and that we will be able to test this in beta

It is PvE and GvG. We doesn't know at the moment for the PvP.
The GvG (Guild versus Guild) is a big theme of Ryzom with real impact on the gameplay.

Torotoro,
that sounds great, where does that info come from?
If so, that would be a very cool system for GvG. I have my doubts about GvG as I like open PvP. However, this makes GvG sound better.

The concept and stipulations behind the Guild vs. Guild war that this whole thread has been about.
That's what I'm talking about.
