I need help.

It seems everytime I play a MMO I get bored after the 1st day or week, I played WoW for a week, got bored. Played DAOC for a day, got bored... I see MANY people play MMO's for years and never get bored, why is this? What do I need to look over to become addicted to MMO's?

And can someone please give me a game to play, I would really like for it to be free, I'm sick of P2P's.

When I see GenericNewbie001, Registered (today), Posts: (just this one), asking for "help" with on a topic that seems strongly reminiscent of the standard Help-Give-Me-Quotes-And-Info-For-My-School-Termpaper on "MMORPG Addiction and Addictees," I am ... *raised eyebrow* ... suspicious.

I'll take your post at face value and not try to read any hidden agenda into it.

I am guessing that in the short times you played the aforementioned games that you did not form any lasting friendships.

Speaking for myself only, after the initial wanderlust is satisfied for any game, the alure for continued play is the community.

Go back to any game you have tried and ask people if you could group with them for a bit.

This has happened to me many times, but 1 week of playing isn't enough to know the game, how it is played, or what the mechanics are. World of Warcraft for example is a great game, 1 week won't take you very far. You must hit atleast level 20 for the fun to start happening. All games are like this, most of them are very boring in the beginning, but as you advance in level, and skill, the games become more fun.

If you haven't already done it, I would suggest keep playing World of Warcraft for a while, because the game doesn't start until you hit Level 60.

I have two 60's, Undead Priest, Troll Rogue. They are both fun to play, and is awesome to switch back and forth with. Try it, it just takes patience.

Get me some popsicles and open Winamp go to my Techno playlist and play Either FLYFF or Gate to Heaven.
