Awe guys.... *I* miss Wepps. I thought he was misled and often annoying, but I still enjoyed reading his posts. I wonder sometimes why he's missing.
I'm headed over to the Station forums in a few minutes to see what new and exciting shoes have dropped, if any. Nothing like SWG as a spectator sport, eh?
Morning Az ! Hope you slept well !
Well, if you dont mind...can u bring a yummy salad on your way back ? Kef, Fart ? Obraik, any1 else a salad ? Az is leaving soon to head out to the warfield....
AZ, take your sensors with you, we are all online monitoring you just incase...
Actually, his posts over here weren't all that bad. Some were even worthy of bringing up to the Devs (not that they would listen). However, when he left here - he became the most obstinant yet prolific poster on the SWG boards. So unlike his previous posts - that I sometimes doubted that it was him.
Yeah, we need the PreNGE Wepps back here but I have been told that its not technically possible as he would not be Star Warsy enough. There is this rumor that he went over to Bioware though...
hehehhe hi Claude. Didn't find anything particularly new going on at the Station Boards. Funny thing about that was that I was actually expecting to. My my my how fast our impressions change, eh?
The outspoken representatives of the Trader, Entertainer and Smuggler professions seem to be nursing the hurts that the devs put on them on Friday, a number of them claiming to have hit the almighty cancel button to join the others who "voted with their feet" as Smed says. People are still upset as all hell about what Chriscao and Helios said, and aggrivated with Helios' half-assed and kinda insulting attempt to make himself more clear to the players. It's clear neither side of that dialog thinks the other knows squat about what they're saying and that both sides are almost certainly stubbornly refusing to properly interperet what the other is saying. It may be that the players won't even start listening again till Helios and Chriscao give them a no-holds-barred apology and reacharound. I can't really feel too sorry for them though, since the pair of them seemed to almost go out of their way to alienate players of some of the professions and the culture difference between corporate behavior and player behavior really doesn't account for the severity of the gaffes they made.
I think that Friday did something that Smed really needed to do though. It shocked players into a change of attitude and made a case that dialog is still possible that might help them in finding a way out of the big hole they dug themselves into. But they still need to both convince the players to throw down a rope and then convince themselves to actually climb up the rope if it's offered to them.
Man oh man I just went on to the SWG forums to talk ti this chick I know and I just got banned for 1 week.........???????????????, what the hell did I do?
Whannnnn Whannnnn dat is the sound of 20 year old babies
Whats the point of having cantinas if you dont want people to be social. Its is also another confirmation they are going for the 12 year old give it to me now crowd.

lol ..... he says fighters generally dont like to socialize thats why they wont put something like bf in again? Why would someone who didnt like to socialize play an mmo? Why would the developers of an mmo design a game around those players who dont like to socialize?
Its just all too much.
The more he posts, the more its clear that he has no idea of why people played the game in the first place.

The guy is a moron. Plain and simple. Now I was never an Entertainer, nor did I ever want to be. But in my opinion battle fatigue was a major part of the content for entertainers, as well a the major social catalyst. During the glory days, the cantinas were full of dancers and musicians. Most became rich once people finally realized the value of mind buffs.
I may be wrong, but did entertainers really have it so rough? I appologize in advance if I am wrong, I expect to get a flame or two from an entertainer.
I had 4 toons on Kauri... I rarely played combat rolls... I usually did the arhitect, entertainers etc... I loved being in the cantinas or my shops talking to people and what not.. All that went to shit when they took out the BF and the wounds and stuff... I loved how interdependant those prefessions were. The situation was also reveresed. When I had to go get resources I had to have some of my buddies with combat professions go with me. I really wish they would just shut the game down, fire these morons, give it to people who love starwars and know how to listen to the player base, and then jsut let em run it with realistic timetables. I for one could care less if an expansion doesnt come out if it means they are fixing the bugs and stuff.
EDIT: Provided $OE has nothing to do with it.

Ok... Here is a link to the SWG forums where a Senator has complied the conversation with Helios and SpaceRancor. It starts off with people debating whether or not thier will be forced PvP in the new stuff being dreamed up by cluel.. err Helios.. Helios states in the 5th post down that there will not be forced PvP in SWG. At the 9th post Galactic Senator PsychoPyro80 calls him out saying that another dev already stated there would be a need for forced PvP for some quests. God I love it when even the Devs arent on the same page. I think someone needs to take their crayons from them beofe someone serisouly gets hurt.
