Post your strats and effective methods for gaining your BFR!
I still don't have mine yet, I've tried some cave combat to little or no sucess. Does anyone have any tips for doing this effectively?

the best tip, why bother? BFRs were nerfed to the point they are nothing but slow-ass tanks that can be destroyed by 1 half-intelligent trooper. And Im not even mentioning the running bug where your view jumps as your mech walks so bad, it could cause motion sickness to some people.
Pre-Nerf BFRs were great, especially the flying version one. With that you could of taken some fire while doing precision strikes onto enemy vehicle armada. With that nerf, its back to who has more armor on the field.

It's not about effectiveness. It's about fun.
Thats where my point is, its not fun anymore, It used to be a lot of fun before the nerf, but not anymore. I mean, what fun is walking 30miles per hour, getting motion sickness from buggy terrain, just to have a trooper kill u in 5 seconds or dying from 3 mines becuase u cant stop fast enough.
But if u still wanna try that, then I suggest picking up cave fights where your team has a slight advantage to get the capture credit, and joining a fight where your team is outnumbered (the more - the better) to get the kills credit. What I did is I played above the ground while watching the cave fights and went underground whenever there was a chance to get those credits.
Im not sure but I think if u capture enemy cave base without a big fight, then u wont get a capture credit. Might wanna confirm that though.
Good luck in getting certed in BFRs. I hope you wont be disappointed once you obtain it.

If used right, Combat engineering can be killer, those little mines/turrets can get you a load of kills if placed right.
And as for the BFR's, well, i dont have my certs, and i dont plan on having them, i've seen them in combat, and even though i'm a mech lover, i'll stick to the gunner seat.
BFR = over rated and over feared by new players.

I don't mean shots. I mean full deci loads... so 6-9 was what I was saying if you're talking how many 'shots' it takes.

If you want to get your BFR imprint, my advice is:
1) If there's a cave fight, no matter how small, go there!
2) If there's no cave fight, take an AMS & start one
3) Cert AI max & heavy assault.
