Just my two cents. I'm an adult gamer, and I found this game quite dull. I chose a PVP server for the action and excitement. The PVP aspect was great, however the levelling grind was extremely dull. Unlike a single-player RPG, or a goal oriented MMORPG such as Guild Wars.. there is absolutely no plot here. Nothing to motivate you. I played regularly with 2 friends who purchased the game at the same time as I did, we regularly played as a group and I think without that support I wouldn't have played past level 10. It really is a game without purpose, like a chatroom where you repeatedly perform actions as a sideline. Yes, as some people say there are too many children. The average age was 15 from what I gathered in group settings. Not really a big deal as the majority of these kids are polite and just want to play.. However the few do ruin it for the many. There are some seriously disturbed children here, just like real life. If you can recall the viral video many years ago mocking an AOL commercial, you get the picture. You're pay $15/m to hear someones son or daughter tell you to eat their a**. Blizzard really has a long way to go as a service company as well, I don't know if they offer any compensation for downtime but considering the lack of any discussion of this topic I assume the answer is No. During the month I played lag was the norm, downtime prevented play about 1 in 10 times I sat down to try. Although my friends liked it, girls seem to enjoy the "new shoes" aspect.

I didn't find BG useless. I play games for fun, not to "farm rank". I found it fun the first few times. It sounds like you play on a PvE realm, which I would find a bit pointless. That would make the game entirely a grind through to 60 and then some dungeon fighting? I can't think of a more depressing thought. Then it truly is a glorified chatroom.

PVP is when a guy is walking around, and your waiting to ambush him.
BG has no war feeling, no epic battle feeling. When i join a BG i feel a boring grind 8 hour rep day. PVP is when i get a bunch of random people i dont know and kill people in gadgetzcan and have fun. Or getting 40 people to raid a town. That i PVP war epic feeling. That fact you get nothing in return then the glory of the battle is PVP.
