You can find LOADS of information on Aspertame all over the place and there is even a whole documentary about it called Sweet Misery. You can probably find a Google video for free or a torrent.
Its so deadly and if you do some research (or just watch the documentary) on how Aspertame was approved by the FDA you will see some government corruption too. Donald Rumsfield was heavily involved.

I understand the danger of the artificial sweetners in Diet Pepsi. Check out the end of my first post:

Well I don't think you do ...or you wouldn't drink it. I thought the human race was smarter than this. Its funny because self suicide is frowned upon but at the same time millions of people are slowly killing themselves but its OK. Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

Makes you wonder why they tell epilepsy patients to never drink those artificial sweeteners, but it is alright for others though, huh?

Splenda is in the same catergorie for me. If I can't physically digest it doesn't that mean my body will do somethign in turn to reject it? Side-effects are just as deadly generally.

I drink both Fizzy drink n water, but I prefer water especially when it's iced cold. It is o.k to drink fizzy drinks but you have to have your 6-8 glasses of water a day, which is equivalent to drinking 1.2 to 1.6 litres of water. Having enough water is essential to clean and keep ur body healthy.

The part of getting obese by drinking fizzy drinks is kinda irrelevent. I drink at least a can of coca-cola, or some call it coke, in school and at home, but I am a sprinter, so you can imagine how fit I am. The body also needs sugar, it is just a matter of you sweating off those extra calories intake or remain a couch potato. No offence there.

So in my opinion, it's exercise that keeps you healthy and fit, and it's a draw for where water vs fizzy drinks are concerned.

Water only. Gave up carbonated drinks years ago because sugar makes me sick and was worried about the artificial sweeteners in diet drinks.
Haven't read anything on this but have also wondered how much aluminum is being consumed with each drink. Seems to me the acidic liquid would leech some of the aluminum from the can and be consumed.

Prefer my water cold and filtered and lots of it.

Water person here too, H2O is the catalyst to pretty much everything good that happens to the body, so seems logical that I should have alot of it. That and simple sugars like Corn Syrup is poison to the body.

In the morning, it's coffee. Mostly black, but sometimes with that low sugar french vanilla stuff if I happen to have it.

After that, water. I've got two fridges, with a Brita filter in both of em. Yeah, I'm addicted to the Brita. Maybe I'm being brainwashed by the marketing, but it really does taste better to me. That, and I know what they add to our water here in NY, I'd rather filter. I swore off soda years ago, I'm a chef and found myself drinking gallons of the stuff a day while working (gets hot in kitchens, have to drink a lot). My uncle was diagnosed with diabetes and it scared the crap outa me. Stopped drinking the stuff cold turkey. Funny thing is, I lost 5 pounds JUST by cutting out the soda.

So be careful guys. Keep that Coke habit in check. Stuff IS really bad for you. (, you can take that to mean whatever you like, it still counts.)

Is that bad? I can't help it. I love the stuff. It's like salty and sweet at the same time. And it comes in so many flavors.

Whats your favorite flavor? Then ill tell you if its bad for you or not. ::::35::

Well, to be honest, my favorite Gatorade flavor is Citrus.  But I can never find it in the powdered cans.  So I'm forced to buy the Fruit Punch, Lemon-Lime, and Glacier Freeze.  Those are in order from my favorite to least favorite.  Every once and a while I'll splurge and just buy the big jug of Citrus though.

My friend said I drink so much that my pee is going to change colors.  That would freak me out if it came out Glacier Freeze.

    haha
hey! same with me. I like lemon-lime and citrus the same. Get em everyday at school.
