I'm confused about this game

in Dark and Light

I read that Settlers of Ganareth is free but Dark and Light is seperate from it so its like totally seperate so I'll start all over in it. But then the other thing I'm confused about is pricing. I see no info about it on the official site. Is it a monthly fee game, one time cost, or cash shop free to play?

    The catch is if you paid for a Pioneer account (access to both SoG and DnL) then your characters, items, money, etc. transfers over. If you got a free account, then yeah, you probably have to start over. At least that's how I understood the original deal as explained on the DnL website.

    Honestly, who the hell knows anymore... these guys flip more than a coin.

    True, no answers are clear regarding the current sog character. I am sure however that SOME coin (called goth - for goth thakes) will be transferred over. How much though has not been answered at all. The original idea was sog is the past, so the only thing you will bring over is your toon name, some coin, and a heritage item - like a tree or a book or plaque, something small from your days in the past. As the game gets closer though, no answers are coming and it seems to keep changing, whether by guessing hopefuls or Farlan themselves is also unclear.

    the freebie acounts, those that are not pioneer I believe have to start over. the pioneer accounts, both original and trailer park issue will keep the toon name but not the character -- there is or at least was a statement to this effect made in the beginning.

    weeks later and only a little over 2 weeks to the big showdown, (16 days) there is STILL no answers to any of these questions. Its mindboggling for sure.

    players did get a stele tho. pioneers anyway.not a book or plaque or tree or whatever -- they never really told us exactly what it would  be so a lousy stele is what it is.

    I thot i read somewhere that the SOG char will retain the name but not the xp so as to not have that much of an advantage over the other players. However in allowing the pioneers a two day head start, it would very easily become unbalanced against brand new players again as in two days, since there isnt really much to do, you can level to 35 in a snap and sit and wait to gank all the newbies on opening day, which will in turn , turn off any new players besides the game crappiness in the first place! LOL

    I want to bring up the threads reguarding pioneer goth, revealing the skill tree etc... that they promised us but they'd just get locked

    Don't forget about the beta too.

    Oh right indria got it square.  It'll be pay to play beta
