I was looking at when my EQ account was going to expire the other day, and noticed that my SWG account (same station account) had changed from the "closed" state that it had been in since the NGE. It is now in "cancelled" status, as it would be if I'd purchased some game time and then stopped the recurring charge. When I looked closer, I noticed there's no end date like there would be on a properly cancelled account.
I went and checked my other account, and it's the same way.
So I went and tried to authenticate to the patcher. It let me in and spent the next hour or so patching the game. It then let me into the game, not that I particularly wanted to be there, but I had to see if it would or not.
Anyone else's accounts suddenly work for no apparent reason? It's kind of weird.

Your account is reactivated by SOE for free for an oddball amount of days, they do this ALL THE TIME to get you back and playing, great part is they offer free come backs so much that you barely have to pay to play... I can honestly hop on at least for a few days every 2 months.
This sounds like a way for them to falsif their sub numbers. If you log in, even for a day, they can claim you as an active player. I am not discouraging you from doing so, as I even think about login every three months to make sure my house is still intact (sense of ownership?).
Played (more than a month): SWG, Second Life, Tabula Rasa, Lineage 2, Everquest 2, EvE, MxO, Ryzom.
Tried: WoW, Shadowbane, Anarchy Online, Everquest, WWII Online, Planetside
Beta: Lotro, Tabula Rasa, WAR.
My second account that I canceled a long time ago still says CLOSED.
For the record, my main acct is station access, so it's prolly unfortunately counting as a sub for SWG.
Would be funny if I got access back for a while (for free especially).
Those boards are looking might fun to troll around a bit.
I'd make a nice little post: "I just came back and wow, the NGE rocks", then watch the thread fill 5 pages per minute.
