Returning player -- questions about expansions

I played DAoC from the time it began until just before ToA came out.  I want to return to the game and the classic servers, but am a bit confused on the downloadable vs. buyable expansion packs.  I have the original disks & SI, so I guess I need ToA, Catacombs, and DR.  If any returning players know, is it easier to download the expansions (speed not a problem) or just buy the Epic pack?  I'm really into the RvR over PvE (hence the classic server choice) but will I be losing anything if I go the download route and skip ToA?

Also, if I buy the Epic pack, will the expansions in it work on two accounts (wife will be playing again too)?  I know the graphics updates are in the Catacombs expansion and I've seen that Mythic has it available for $10.00 off if I download and activate it with DR.  Is the downloadable expansion the same as the boxed, or will I be missing something if I don't go the retail route?  Thanks in advance for anyone able to help.

The downloads are the same as the boxed, just don't get the, well, box... and cds, and manual. manual, as with any mmo, is already going to be out of date. will already be a few hundred mb of patches to get too... personally, i'd just get both accounts through download and be done with it, unless you have low bandwidth or a low download limit a month.
And to answer the other question, yes, the boxed set will install for both pcs, but you will need a seperate account and cd key for each expansion for each account. So you could buy, for example, the boxed set and 1 download account. use the box set to install both, and just set up 1 pc with the keys from the download account.

    hope this helps

That does help my decision, thanks.  I think I'll go with the download.  I've got 3mb down so speed isn't a problem.  I just want to make sure that I'm not paying more that I have to for the expansions.

I think you would be better off buying the Epic edition.  I believe many places are now selling the box set for $19.99.

    If you download:

    ToA is free
Cats/DR combo is $29.99 (last time I looked that is).

It all just depends on how much $10 matters to you.
