Foul evil commercial-ads!!

I  used to like this site, and I was checking it several days a week. But now I'm really dissapointed!

My question is how the **** can mmorpg.com have ads for gold-buying, and leveling services!?       There must be some moral aspects to consider in this matter! How can you promote games AND the sites that ruin them at the same time!? Shame on you! The mmorpg.com staff seems to be as greedy as those Warlock alchemists who want's 10G for an arcanite transmute! Well, let me tell you something, MMO's are not about greed, it's about loyalty and friendship and doing things that feels right! And those ads definately DONT feel right on such a good site!

    Hi Anthr4x,

    i think it is not that easy to get all the needed advertising customers.
    Sometimes you cant choose, you dont have the luxus to choose.

    Especialy these "unmoralic" sites, selling credits and ingamestuff are willing to place ads "like crazy", cause they need the customers badly. So it is an "easy customer".

    I think them are advertising here must not match the "moral" of MMORPG, but their need to cover the traffic- and servercosts.

    I can see your point and i do understand. Of course everyone can ignore banners, as long as their banner isnt offending by its presence/design already.

    Yes, these "sweatshops" in far east are a pain to every single game.
    Yes, they will go on and carry on doing what they do as long as people buy their stuff.
    And yes, advertising is something not helping to stop that.

    So in the end, the responsibility is on ourself: Do we click, do we buy or not ?

    I dont like these shops, like you. So i dont click, i dont buy, i even "discomfort" them in every game i see them.
    They dont file tickets.... ::::02::

    So i think we should accept the need for a site like MMORPGH and their need to cover the costs, but the responsibility to dry these shops out, this responsibility is ours.

    Someone willing to buy stuff from such sites, will buy it anyway - advertising here or not.

    Claude
