What Faction will you Choose?

EvelknievelEvelknievel Member UncommonPosts: 2,964

Portion of this message was taken from the GDW Stargate Worlds news.

The game itself will be based around 3 major factions. The first are the Free People. They're the good guys on the show, the Humans, the Asgard, the Tok'ra, are examples of these, basically the forces of good. The second faction involved in the game will be the Control People, those who seek to enslave and rule. The System Lords and other Goa'Uld seek to rule by fear and power, providing an excellent contrast to the Free People, a constant struggle. If this wasn't enough, the third group is known as The Entropy Group. Those who seek only to hurt and to destroy, the robotic Replicators personify this ideal. On top of this, the developers are looking to give players the ability to play a wide variety of races. The Asgard, for example, are a race that players have been asking for. MGM has given the ok on this, and it is the current plan to include them as playable. Joe also mentioned the possibility of including the symbiotes as a playable race. This would give players the opportunity to shift hosts and to make the decision of whether to be Tok'Ra or Goa'Uld in their behaviors. Giving the players what he called "betrayal ideas".

    LOL..

Whatever happened to the Nox anyways? Besides that, how about the infamous race now.

The Ori (pronounced "OR-eye") are a fictional race in the Stargate universe. Collectively, they are a group of Ascended beings who use their great knowledge of the universe to force lesser beings to worship them as Gods.

    Taken from Wiki..

I assume they would fall under what category?

    Currently Playing: AO and FE.

I would go whit Replicators they are one of the cooles fous they ever had like some superb robot that you cant kill exsept if you have some crazy special weapons and they can adaptt even on that so I think they are the most crazy and I like them the best and I would probably be them :D

But that is just me still I would be some other races to but I like the most replicators.

Chronicles of Sonya comic that I'm working on

Has there been any confirmation on wich races/classes there will be?

Also it would be cool if you could choose your race origin... like, if you'd first choose an abydonian human (not all humans are Tau'ri after all) then take a trip to the Tok'ra to become a host later on ;)

Also i'd like to be able to choose Free Jaffa Nation!!

personally i would want to be either an Asgard or a Tok'ra

Granted it is horribly tempting to try to become a go'a'uld system lord and enslave the galaxy

i would choose the Goa'Uld or the replicators. i always like being evil,       plus if im a replicator i would fight mainly the Goa'Uld because only the human weapons seem to be really affective against them.    and if im a Goa'Uld HUMANS WILL DIE!!  hehe

    Glowing eyes FTW!

Probably Goa'Uld as well for me.

Think it will be limited to SG-1 races? No Wraith?

Depending on the level of freedom in the game i'm going to be a freedom human who isnt affiliated with earth... i'll probably invent some back story about whatever planet he came from but i want to be a rogue human basically and if guilds and cooperations are allowed then i'll form my own human army.

The fraction like the replicators, then i would not have to worry about messing up my fraction, I see i kill, mindless obliteration of the other races to be the only one left! muhahaha

Being a symbiote sounds interesting. Not sure if i'd be a Jaffa or Tok'ra though.

That does sound pretty awesome being a symbiote... I'd like the ability to worm around in water freely and also to change hosts when and if i wanted... wouldn't it be funny to go in a huge raid group to some main end game boss and simply implant him/it and take him/its body over... lol.

No wraith? Damn... Dare I hope they are part of the "entropy" group?

If that's not the case - goa'uld or maybe unaz (that would be sweet!)

Wraith may potentially be cool.... however how would they work? You'd only have weapons which stun the enemy (not including wraith nade) and one single finisher with sucking there life... how is that going to work in PvE or indeed mass PvP?

Unas is a good idea though if anybody wants to play an "ugly" race.

Oooh... Replicator... That'd be neat if you could upgrade from being a little bug to progressively larger and more formidable structures by adding additional blocks... At least you'll know what its like to be a Lego.

I would choose the Free People just because they are more down to Earth.
Also they get all the cool toys to play with and in my mind nothing beats a good old fashioned bullet in order to stop an enemy
