The later Spoilers and Speculations on the game, Information on what will possibly be in the game and more!
6 March, 2006
Construction: Also u will be able to make naquada mines.. also being able to make planetary shields to stop from bombardment.. which will happen from ships.
Crafting: Alien Technology + materials to this Trading & Smuggling nd also being able to go through levels without being able to go in to combat. But any Classes will be able to pick up a gun and use it.
Also being able to build mothership was confirmed in these clips,
Also being able to take technology from asgard and encorperate it in your own ship as well. Once you figure out how to use it. But whether all of this will actually go in to the game, well is another question.
Also information on - character customisation in the game, including USAF uniforms and also being able to go further up your guilds ranks will be able to gain other clothing items like eva suits and hazmat suits.. and including items for people that are not in the airforce. But we still have to see how much of this goes in to production and actually comes out in to live version
Combat: big percentage of game.. squad based.. 4 people as said in a team, also being able to go solo with AI bots will also be avaliable. users will be able to get p90s, shotguns, and exploses like c4 and grenades. Using Command and Control interface, also using terran for like Cover, which will effect if your hit or how much dmg is done to you and stealth added. Also Electric Counter Measures.. for Engineers and Scientists. - Not going to be FPS more like a standard turn move system.
Conserns over SGTA - They both didn't have any thing to do with each other, SGTA just happend to fall apart... this MMORPG has been in the circle for 2 years and it just happen to get announced right after SGTA downfall.
Starting Points: not going to start from SGC, u could start from Alpha site or beta Site, With alot of Instances for Missions. and PVP zones, and Guilds should be able to build planetary defenses and fortress's.
Flying Vehicles: will be having death gliders and smaller ships like F-302s, but if u are unable to fly them(due to powerful or couldn't get them in to game) they will be in there as npc just buzzing and firing at u - meaning firing at mothership. And also could be options to maybe calling in airsupport.
Death Penalty: They support lack of Death Penalty, because they want to go with positive reinforcement, so probably no penalty from dieing in any kind of death, but with this "FRED" unit, it will be a way of transporting the teams materials and also their spawn points, if you die and will also be using it for storage if your inventory gets to full. But they are still talking about it I spose.
PVP: 3 Areas of Play - Newbie Experiance, Experiance/Middle and Expert. But u will be able to get up to the point of having the ability to build planetry defenses and building ships. Targetting for Elder Gamers, Atmosphere the game will produce for players will be in, like having a mission to steal resources from other faction as a pvp senario, and may include bots incase u don't have enough people.
Social Area's of Game: Guild & squad experiance for players, play activitys, leveling system for the guild progressing.. along with construction as well as economics as well as Ranks added in to the Guild. When u start u will be Private/Airman and work your way through the guild. Where Servers are battling not in pvp kind of shoot them first game, but on who can get better guild or comparing server informations like progression like one server has technology the other server doesn't because they haven't worked enough to get it.
Guild Interaction: Trying to get 500 people in to a guild... being able to build a mothership.... meaning you would need the alot of people to make motherships which u may need more than 1 guild to make which will probably boosting the ability to build a community.
Quest System: Complex Enviroments and quests.... which can involve guild.. squad and exploration, sort of like player playing in the TV Show
Story Line: Enhancing and adding a Storyline, writers which are very skilled in changing TV missions in to quests and extra stuff.
Atlantis: They are looking at it as a Expansion pack later on.
And they will be working closely with MGM and the Studios... and will try to match the game with the series as it will be when it comes out, and try to update along with the Game which is what they ment by Coexsisting, which is what they are looking to do. And will be canon... so if the game creates a race in game the writers could be able to take this idea and develop them in to a proper race for the series and technology
Graphic Quality: Originally going with photorealistic Look but backing it off of this a notch or 2

Stargate Worlds provides players with a form of ranged combat unique to MMORPG that will take full advantage of modern and science fiction weaponry, cover, and terrain. Players will be able to form squads with their friends or use bots for players who want to go solo. Squad leaders will control maneuvers and objectives through an innovative combat control interface.
Players may choose to create characters that are members of either the SGC (the Good Guys) or the System Lords (the Bad Guys). Characters are equipped with varied and mixed skills, with the choice to form such classes as Research, Combat Marine, Medical, Scientific, Diplomatic, Engineering, Archeological, and Exploration. PVP will be possible between the two alliances on many contested worlds, actually swaying the balance of power on those planets, and unlocking hidden content. Cooperative play will also be possible, and players will be encouraged to forge temporary alliances to deal with greater threats, such as the Ori.
Still alot of speculation at this point, I am assuming its going to be twitch base, but not really sure. As we know, things can change without us even knowing it.
Boy I hope they dont screw this MMORPG up, has potential to be on of thegreatest scifi mmorpgs.
So we will have so many to chose that I think will make some problems whit some people (like me :P) so they should let us chouse non of the class and let us build the class we need our self true the game and "skilling" the stuf you want to know.
But still it sounds very interesting and cool.

Does anyone know if there will be a monthly fee?
IMHO this game will appeal to MANY more Stargate fans (rather than JUST the fans who are MMO players) if they use the Guild Wars buisness model. Maybe it is a pipe dream, but it makes sense to me.
It will prolly have a monthly fee as with all good mmo's..
you should never hope for no monthly fee... you'll only be disappointed :P

Some Good Stuff I found..
# Cheyenne Mountain CEO Tim Jensen made the first remarks which started with an overall view of the company's founding and business goals. The event then went ove to its VP of product development Joseph Ybarra who stated that Stargate Worlds was still in pre-production but wanted to get more input from fans by launching the game's forums. A community site for the game will be launched on March 1. Ybarra feels that the game's use of the Stargate allows for a large universe to cover, a massive back story from the movie and two TV series, its sense of humor and the fact that it takes place in modern times are part of the attraction to make a Stargate based MMORPG
# Ybarra talked about the various locations that are being considered for the game. Of course planet travel will be available in the game via the Stargate so instancing will be a part of the game. However, each instance will likely be large and will even cover things like the surface of an airless moon or being near a black hole. Alien civilizations, extinct and current, will be a part of the game and both aliens from the TV show as well as new aliens and enemies will be a part of the game. Some locations that will place entirely in space craft (people familiar with the TV series know that some races have some massive ships) and there are plans for players to have their own space ships as well
# Ybarra also talked about the player types, including squads for the Stargate teams, along with aliens like the Jaffa and other races. Scientists, pilots, alien engineers, and more are being considered for the character types.
# While the game will have combat, Ybarra also said there will be a lot of non-combat activities, such as mining, contruction of devices like defenses and more. Crafting are also planned for Stargate Worlds along with trading between players and planets along with smuggling.
# Combat will be based on the four player squad based that people familar with theStargate SG-1 TV show are used to. Ybarra said, "Combat will be quite brutal in this game," and said that stealth and cover will be a high priority in any combat, along with counter-measures and more.
# Community tools for things like guilds are a major priority with things like a guild leveling system. There are even things like server competitions where players in each server will battle other servers in tasks
# After the brief presentation the team opened up the conference to questions. Gamecloud asked if there had been a graphics engine picked for the game but the team declined comment, saying only that an announcement about their game technology will be made soon. Ybarra also told Gamecloud that there has already been a lot of cooperation between the development team and the TV show creators, including getting art assets from the TV show to use in the game. Ybarra said there are even tenative plans to link events in the game with events in the SG-1 and Atlantis TV shows and vice versa. If this goes as planned. events in the shows will be referenced in the game via live updates
# Other questions from other conference call attendees included character customisation (they are still working on those features) whether the game will be twitch based or turn based (the game will be the traditional hidden turn based combat that will be like the typical MMORPG), PVP (there will be some kind of player vs player combat) and where players will actually start in the game (the TV show 's main NORAD Stargate Command will not be the main starting point; there will be other locations in the universe that will be used for starting points.
# Even more questions concered land vehicles in the game (that's being considered) the impact of the cancellation of the FPS Stargate SG-1 The Alliance (it had no impact at all) and a release date for the game (they would not comment on a release date). Gamecloud asked if the game would be shown at E3 this year (it will not, it will be likely be shown at E3 2007) and about a publisher for the game (they are currently searching for one but no publisher has been announced). There were also questions about the game'splanned diplomat class (players will be able to go to NPCs in the game and negoiate trade and favors)Guilds in the game will be a big part of the game with the team stating during the conference that they would like to see upwards of 500 players in a guild.
Now if they could introduce Time Travel
j/k
Will it be like the servers are different realities?
we all remember how that works right? but do you know if they will implement as one of the features in the game?

Everyone points to Guild Wars as being free...but really, how long do they think the game is going to last? The money from the box only goes so far.
Some stargates within the game will lead to other MMO universes.
For example, we could uncover new gates, go through them, and end up in WoW, or CoH, or STO, or SWG, or VSoH, or HJ, or AoC, or WAR, etc. All of which we will will have access to through our single Stargate Worlds subsciption. . . *cough*
