This game is fun. And a cool world, you beta doods almost ruined it for me and almost stopped me from buying and playing.

Hi, by Beta Doods I mean the people playing for a long time since beta or close.

I just started playing and I like the game just fine.

I like Sci-Fi and Star-Wars, and actually I did not always like star wars all THAT much until I played KotOR. And from playing KatOR I learned a lot more about Star Wars and grew a new respect for it.

I like questing and exploring too.

Star Trek is ok too but a little too clean cut for my Sci-fi tastes.

So I'm sorry you vets feel the way you do now. So I guess it was good I waited until now to start playing, as it is all fresh to me.

I like CoH too, it has great combat.

And I like EVE also because it has a great real World feel too.

    By "beta doods" you mean Players of SWG just like you or even more important do you mean paying customers who got ripped off just like you ?

    You're right!  He's just sheep.  As I posted on another thread, he's quite happy playing another game (Oblivion) while PAYING for SWG until it gets fixed.  Someone willing to acknowledge that deserves no respect.

    ahh thats funny.... he must have just recently joined and doesnt know how good the game USED to be.

    and beta doods??? we wernt in beta we are called ex-vets / -vets for a reason.   meaning we played WAY more then you and know alot about the game.

    The NGE players are obv. not clued in:
    The Alpha THEY play these days is far far from being a finished product, way more then any buggy, sloppy Pre-CU ever was.

    FYI OP:
    The NGE is a "six phase plan": You are in phase two atm...

    The "beta doods" you are talking from, are the ones who payed MILLIONS to SoE and got them (and the game) to where they are today - a shame what they did with it.

    Here's some perspective for you.............By playing SWG NGE, you will forever go down in history as THE dumbest bunch of players to ever pick up a mouse. I'm not saying this to be mean, and i'm not personally calling you dumb. All I'm saying is, 5 years from now, when people talk about SWG they are going to say "Wow, the people that played that game were DUMB." I feel dumber for simple being involved with it at one point.

    That is a very nice opinion but since no one can see into the future, there is no way to be positive about that. so i say if you enjoy playing the game and if it makes you happy then keep playing if not try and find some thing else.

    Dont even listen to these guys, they are idiots.   I have been playing since day 1, and I still love SWG.  Yes, I agree with everything in saying that Pre-CU was the best this game ever was, but, even in the NGE, its still a great MMO.

    Dont listen to the anti-fanboi.  They are just pissed because their Jedi isnt special anymore.

    He is refering to how SoE decided to completely ignore the paying playing base. How they generated such an extremely pissed off fan base that main stream media is picking up on it. How other game developers are using SoE as the butt of jokes on such things as how to not make a game, to a training lesson in how to NOT do customer support(fact btw). How SoE is so worried about that ammount of disgruntled players that when they go on the road for community summits they dare not let anyone in the door that has not been pre-screened, and only to hear answers to pre-screened questions. How the COE of SoE admits that they went too far with NGE and that there will probably have to be server merges. Lets be fair and assume that there is about 100k of the staion pass that are devoted to playing the NGE, that is a well under the 250k of dedicated players at the time of the trainwreck. From a business prespective ignoring 1/2 or more of your paying customers is a foolish concept.

    THAT is what he is refering to.

    This is not a personal perspective these are all facts my friend, personally applaude you and the rest that continue to play the game as you find it fun but in this you are clearly in the minority.

    From a personal perspective as a pretrain wreck player. no i will not pay for a (inho) pile of beta code that caters to those that "find reading in a game" too complicated.

    NGE is even a bad babysitter, my 9 year old even does not like it very much. He and the 6 year old play battlefield II.
