I had gotten Knights of the old Republic 2 over the weekend and just beat the game and i have to say it was a pretty darn good game. How many of you out there play/played the game when it was released up till now?

Sorry, i need my SW fix and it was the best i could find besides empire at war heh.

I played it, was pretty good. Wasn't as good as KoTOR I though, I was a little disapointed. But in the grand scale of video games, it's still up there. Just not as far up there as the original

I thought the story was interesting, tho i didnt like the ending. The ending didnt really reveal anything that would complete the story. I wonder if a kotor 3 is in the works.

I just played half way through about 50 hours worth of KotORI so far but it is realy good and taught me a lot about Styar Wars I did not get untill now. I have been reading and getting into everything I can.

I think the problem is that everyone was expecting some big twist at the end becuase of  KOTOR, all in all I would have to say as far as the story went it was one of the most original, but I would agree that the ending left me a little empty, but I still believe it to be a great addition to the Knights series, and hell its way better then some of the other Star Wars things Lucas is releasing.

i played it trough and enjoyed it quite a bit. In particular i liked the various characters and how well they meshed (or not) with each other, especially the old, ex-sith, neutral "jedi" woman that serve as your mentor.

Although a fairly nice game, KOTOR II pales in comparison to the original. Bioware made the first one and Obsidian took over for the making of the 2nd one. There were some rumours that Obsidian, in contrast to Bioware, allowed themselves to be bullied by mega corp. LA as LA wanted the game out for holiday seasons. Hence, KOTOR II is riddled with continuity bugs and missing text. If you dive into the various files of the installed game you will nitice some text files that don't appear in-game. These files were cut out because Obsidian was feeling the LA pressure on  them. This has become so typical of LA - if something works they insta-jump on it and enter the coporate suits who kill every shread of enthusiasm and creativity of the devs

I liked it. Voice acting is a nice break from reading all the leet speak in spatial. Was also nice to be able to use the force as a Jedi again. Like in the good days of SWG.

Actually, the ending isn't the ending it should've had.  There was a lot of content that was cut to rush the release.  Then Obsidian wanted to make a content patch, but LA refused.  Goes to show you the kind of people they are.  If you want to learn more about that content, click here.  A warning though, it'll make you mad once you realize how much better it could've been.

LA really isn't too concerned about the quality of merchandise that carries the Star Wars name anymore, just making sure sales start on time...

I fully agree.  But their refusal to allow Obsidian to make a content patch is what baffles me.  I mean, what's the worst that could happen???  That more people would buy the game or that people might think they actually cared about their customers???

It would validate the fact that they pushed it out the door unfinished. I don't know the whole story too it, I never bothered to keep up with it but that would be my guess. Plus perhaps an outcry from the console people for a new copy then?
