in World of Warcraft
Is there going to be a pure (or almost pure) defensive, non-healer class?  I want to a play a CCer (Crowd Control).  What class will have those spells anyone know?

    I believe a bit of all the casting classes have some form of crowd control, wiether it be root, mez or sleep ect.

    thats pretty wise in a sense, you dont always HAVE to be insearch of one specific class JUST TO GET A FRICKEN GROUP goin...like in FF XI

    btw, with the whole FFXI grouping thing, there is never a healer around when you need one

    SO far the only CCer i'm aware of is the Priest...

    Well lets see. Going by what spells have been seen so far.

    Mages have a stun (could be considered CC) and i believe they have something like the icy prison that the shaman has listed.

    Priest has sleep

    Shaman has entangling roots, Icy prison

    Warlocks have sleep

    That gives you 4 classes that can do some form of CC. And I am sure there are a few more spells out there that have been seen, but I am to lazy to look them up.

    I also believe that all caster having some CC is good. I never played a CC caster because never appealed to me. I did not really group with them much either.  I just hope that WoW keeps on looking as good to me. I like this game because it looks to have simplicity in play for ppl but with the players able to make the game deeper by their actions.

    Go take a look on WoW Vault and WoW Warcry, then look Priest's skills. 3/4 are Mind Control type.

    That still dont make them the ONLY CC class in the game.
