Soling easier now?

Recently fired up CoH for my twice annual "play it for a month and then get bored" superhero fest.  Compared to the last time I played soloing seems to be a lot easier.  Mobs seem to be weaker in general, and perhaps less numerous in the solo missions.  Missions I found challenging and slow to the point of tedium six months ago I am just thrashing now.  Is this all in my head, or were the mobs adjusted at some point?

There are a few unequivical changes that I like a lot.  The inherent archetype powers are nice.  The inherent origin powers at low levels are also a nice touch. 

Have CoV coming in the mail, so I'll be playing this for a few weeks at least.  If issue 7 actually gives us something more fun to do than run bland missions over and over again, maybe I'll be around for more than a month

    Emmert is swinging the nerf bat again.  This time defenders who specialize in "To-Hit debuffs" are taking it in the rear.  Seems the guy just can't keep from screwing with powers.  Must be the way he justifies keeping his job.

    As someone wrote on the CoH forum, "Emmert was probably the kid who used to pull the wings off flies for kicks just to see them struggle."  That seems to be what he does to his playerbase on an all-too-frequent basis.

    I just started up again this week, bought CoV and I'm enjoying it so far. Mercenaries/ Dark Mastermind and having fun with it. Haven't tried any of my old CoH toons yet, maybe tomorrow...
