Nazgul11 has a valid point. If ya don't like it don't play it. Don't complain about it, whine,complain about the old ways. Do you'all still wish you were riding around in horse drawn carriages too?
I played UO since 98 so I know old school and tram. My friends and I still enjoy goin out and hunting together once a week we get together.
There is nothing stopping the complainers from playing the game and staying in fel. That way perhaps fel would become populated again. Oh wait, there wouldn't be any newbies to kill...or is that what bothers these whiners so much. They may actually hafta fight other experienced PvPers.
If all the bitchers played in fel, it might become a place worthwhile returning to. But as it sits now there is nothing but d00dz gankin at the moongates. Hardly even worth the time of goin. Or ya be a nuicance till someone offers to fight ya in fel, where they have about five of their friends waiting to gank ya once ya get there.
I don't like much what EA has done with this game over the past few years and I imagne that this will be my last year at all involved with this game. But I highly doubt my complaining about how great old school was is really going to change things. There is Seige if you want to play on old school shard.

OU: Third Age all the way up to right before LBR came out was at its best. PvP was perfect. I was a 4x Lumberjack and pwnd mages 50/50 of the time. Balance. Thats what was great. and the leveling treadmill wasnt even hard. It wasnt easy either, but damn, that game was great untill it got all crazy.

Meh, not even fel is worth going to anymore. All it is is another trammel nowadays. People aren't bitching because they can't kill trammy gankers, they are bitching because the trammy gankers all have +8923478901758347509q234 magic resist suits with +2348902734082734782 damage katanas with Zero chance to lose them.
The game is based around items. How sad is that? You spend hours upon hours to gain skills for what reason? So some newb can grab a +25 ring and be just as good as you? Screw that. Half the skills are worthless now. No point in fishing, smithing, treasure hunting, stealing, or even melee because resist is just worthless. When the power of your e-bay suit can win over my years of experience and know how of what skills to gain and why, the game is over. UO has no future if it continues on this path. Which is the reason why they raised the price, and are in development for UXO, they know it's going to die, and they need as much income as they can get before it does. Hoping of course that when it does, that everyone will just flock to UXO.
