What is Emo? I hear about it all the time. I've even seen a picture of an Emo yet I still have hardly any idea of what makes the difference between Emo and Normal.

emo = a type of goth that is uber emotional, hence the demi-abbreviated term "emo". and when i say emotional i mean dull, lifeless, depressed and generaly a pain in the arse 24/7

emo music, like bright eyes, fall out boy, my chemical romance, as i lay dying.

They wear girl pants.

They cut themselves.

They have shot black hair which is gelled over one of their eyes

They are more feminine then most

They play older games(like mario) to appear "differient"

Emo used to be short for "emotional punk", which was really just a genre made up by a record company to sell some abums that didn't fit into acustic nor ruck, but the artists looked "punkish".

emo is not the worst fad ever. believe it or not. the worst one ever is "punks" who think they are punk. punk has been dead for years because everything that has been done to it. all the "punks" i see now look like a bunch of screwed up emos/punks/goths/wiggers. its so god damn lame to see. bad enough they do it just look at all the loser bands that do it too. case and point. good charlotte. enough said.

Believe it or not, punk is not an appearance thing, its a mindset, but I'm not going to get into that whole argument... BTW I actually had an emo kid slit his wrist in my apartment one night because his girlfriend dumped him... No joke... He did it the wrong way of course, but... got blood all over my damn kitchen floor

emo kids are perfectly acceptable targets for bullying. i'm totally against bullying in most forms, however i feel it should be encouraged in this case.

and i agree w/ the whole punk bit tho. punk is pretty much dead. i still know  punk rockers that seem to live in the past. they're all 40+ in age too. nothing like a receding mohawk. classic.

that would have sucked to have to clean. man if someone did that to me id have made him clean it up. but i can be an asshole when im in a bad mood all joking aside tho, all pop and retarded stuff like that has ruined any hope of what punk was. it never used to be anything of that sort but now its all about how you dress and whther or not you have a mohawk or something else dumb. you see all these bands saying im this and im that and you just look at them and laugh. "you pissant you know nothing". but to get back on topic on this off topic board, emo ppl and all that isnt what make ppl bad. if you got a bad hand and thats how you show it go for it. whats bad is the idiots(me and my friends have always referred to them as "mall goths") who dress the stereotypical way and everything and cut themselves to say"oh look at me, i cut myself. im cool and im gonna fit into this crowd". those are the type of ppl who give everything such a bad name. all the wannabes who think thats what it is are just mocking and deriding everything about it. for example, most goths have there own style just have similar tastes, "mall goths" and emos try to emulate, completely missing the point. well this will mark the end of my rant. rest your eyes everyone
