I currently have a cat found on darkshore,
but what I really want is a awesome owl. What would be the best looking
owl (I can level it myself) or some pet you suggest is better than an
owl.)

Are you talking about WoW? That's the only game I could figure you're talking about from reading your signature. You should probably post in the WoW board, which can be found here.
i'll point you to the websites i used when playing my hunter in WoW.
Petopia - breaks down the hunter pets on the left hand side. they give you info on the animals and generally map locations to find them. just move your mouse over the owl you're interested in and you can click it to see the map location(s).
btw... if you're a low lvl hunter i recommend getting your paws on The Rake.
The Rake (10 Named-Rare/Mulgore * 1.2 AS
this one is a lion and isn't all THAT rare in Mulgore. he's special because of the 1.2 AS.

i knew which game he/she was talking about. so what if it's in the General section? i could've sworn that The Pub was for, and i quote, "The Pub at MMORPG.COM

he/she is talking about a particular MMO. yes, it probably would be better situated in the WoW section of the forums... but this doesn't mean people have to hop up and down and throw a fit about it.
by the way, it seems others DID know which game he/she was refering too. so i really do not see the problem. and i do not see why YOU and Tithrielle are having problems with it either.
