Eve Online is the greatest online game ever.

It would seem that some folks here on MMORPG.com have been making less than favourable comments about Eve Online (linky).  Well, I have to tell you that Eve Online is the best possible online game of all possible online games.

And I will tolerate no other point of view, and if you don't start posting good reviews I am going to tell my mummy and scweam and scweam and scweam till you all you ebil Eve haters go away.

Yeah, you people that have your own opinions can all fuck off!!  Same goes for those of you with minds of your own!!  Independent thought FTL!!

I do agree with him though...

We can agree to disagree, or we can bicker constantly... either way, I'm right.

Eve is surely up there among the greatest. My all time favorite was UO before the trammel patch. Eve is a really great game, but there are a few downsides to US players. One is that the only server to play on is in London, and that makes for a quite noticeable delay when browsing the market especially. Another downside is the number of jumps that you have to make to travel. I've jumped so many times in the past few days that's it's seriously starting to get to me. So, while I agree with your opinion, I still think it could improve. Honestly, I could deal with the bad ping time if they would just make the jumping a little bit more efficient.

Maybe the rating system for Eve should go like this...

Eve.. great MMO? or greatest MMO?

If you hate it we'll just put you down for great!

Haters... you're on notice. Watch it... the bears might get ya.

One question....WHY are you jumping around so much? Unless you are trading or moving to attack another alliance in a PVP fleet there is little reason to be doing so much travelling. Best advice is to find a constellation/region that has what you want and settle in.

My corp pretty much sticks to one region and never has to go more than about 4 or 5 jumps to get to everywhere we want.

Eve is defintly a rewarding online experience if you have patience and perserverance. I can understand why certain types of people don't like Eve online. It annoys me though when I read some of the negative comments posted in these forums. Problems that could be solved by a little planning or a micro warp drive to speed up travel. They ought to make MWD a starter skill for the impatient ones among us.

I live in the US.  As a matter of fact I live in Seattle Washington which is quite far from London and I do not experiance any lag that you refer to.  Have you checked your PC for viruses an spyware?  I would also advice closing all your programs down when playing EVE including your anti-virus program.  You may want to check your PC to identify the issue causing your lag.

*i run the market and am constantly browsing even while ratting and I have not had any lag issues since the server upgrade that's allowing for 26k concurrent users without lag.

Long distance travel can feel uncessarily time consuming.  No argument there.  If you are using the same route to a prefered location and back you should look into creating "instas" which will allow you to manually travel the same distance in less then half the time.

*While running the market I seldomly make more then 12 jumps in a single route and when I use instas it take me about 7 minutes.  Others should be able to agree with me on this.

I'm on the fence with this game. I can see where people like it. It has a lot of great ideas and is a very deep and large game. But I personally couldn't get into it. I tried it for a little over a month and it just wasn't for me. But I'm saying anything bad about it, more of a personal preference, I guess. I may go back and give it some more time, who knows.

"Alot of people base if they are going to play eve from this site, so if you can please leave some good reviews and wipe of the ones from people who obviously dont have the intelegence or maturity to play what is the best MMO out there

    thanks

That level of arrogance is typical from your EVE player. Maybe they should just rename it to fascists online.

    No annoying animated GIF here!
